Actually, we can do the job. We just do it our way. My trip my rules, my car my rules and I can be selective and I don’t have to take everyone either..
So I really don’t give a shit if I see four people and I don’t like one of them because they’re too big. I cancel. I’m not obligated to do nothing.

I've been driving since 2018 and I've always allowed people to sit up front. If I need to wear a mask like during Covid then I did and I insisted that they did also but no matter what I always allow people to sit up front. If you don't want people to mess with the radio or the a/c then use your mouth and tell them.
I no longer offer an aux cord and your 100% right

Covid is over the front seat ban is over if your are a uber x you are required to provide seating for up to 4 people and if you are an uber xl 6 people it’s that simple put your drinks in the cup holder and your pocket book should be out of site for safety reasons. If you don’t want someone in the front seat this is not the job for you

this post is about as mindless as they get.

Although I will agr

although I agree it’s annoying as hell when the want to sit up front the bottom line is they are a paying customer to a service you are offering if they want the front seat and it’s available they have every right to it and after 9 years and after 17,459 trips and maintaining a 4.9 driver rating I think I know what I am talking about
It doesn't matter how many rides you have done, I work in the desert I need my water, passengers seat in the rear, unless I get a 4th, or 3 very large people. I also need my purse, that will go in the rear if needed. But my riders seat in the rear. Security first.

This is not a taxi by any means Taxis are open to ANYONE and can be flagged down on the street by ANYONE!!! We are private rideshare to members only we operate differently and under different rules we are closer to limo drivers for hire than a taxi cab
Pax aren't "members", even Uber doesn't try to make that claim.

Taxis are "flagged down" in urban areas only. In the suburbs most taxis are ordered in advance just like Uber.

"ANYONE" with a burner phone and burner card can order an Uber ride. In addition, Uber has proposed allowing cash in some markets.

No app no credit card no prepayment no ride name one single taxi that operates that way!

Oh I absolutely DESPISE the “can you play this song and that song” guy while you’re trying to drive on the interstate, especially when they apparently absolutely need to hear these songs on a ride that’s less than ten minutes! 🤬

It’s like Jesus man, you can’t be in someone else’s environment for like 8 minutes and sit still and be quiet/normal without your attention span going nuts that quickly???

“Can you play this song? Can you move the chair up? Can you turn the AC down just a tad?” “Can you take X street instead of the way it’s telling you to go?”

All this for just a short 8 minute ride?! Hate it! It’s like a control thing. They get off on giving commands or something.
the ones that bring an alcoholic drink in the car and their drop off is only 8 minutes away. Can they not refrain from drinking until they arrive? Pffft!

I'm one of those that keeps crap in the front but immediately throw it between my seat if I see 3 or more passengers approaching. Nothing to do with COVID I would allow passengers in the front during COVID probably why I caught it twice. It's mainly to discourage single passengers from sitting in the front. On one occasion there was an Australian couple and the guy opened the front door to sit next to me so I removed all my crap. The guy then said I hope you don't mind that I'm sitting in the front in Australia it's considered rude to not sit in the front if the seat is available.

No, but maybe read my post. 5 passenger car: 5 seats= 1 driver, 3 in back, 1 in passenger seat.

Not to mention it violates open container laws and they usually leave their empty cans in the car making your car smell like booze and your next ride will report you for drinking and driving

Question: Do you hate passengers sitting up front so much that you put a bunch of junk on the front seat next to you and push it all the way forward?

Whenever I am in New York, every single rideshare vehicle I order does this, which I find very odd. They don't do it where I live. The problem is, when I am in New York I am getting rides with my wife and another couple, and one of us MUST sit up front. So I don't care how much garbage you have on the seat, it is getting moved and I am sitting there. Is it really worth the hassle?

A LOT of the rides I give as a driver are to 4 people, and I assume that it must be the same in NYC.

If you can't handle someone being up front next to you (is this a religious thing?), maybe you shouldn't be driving at all.
I’ve had front seat passengers try to grab the steering wheel while I’m driving for various stupid reasons I can understand some drivers just not wanting to play their luck.
