Drivers Who Make The Front Seat Unusable

There's multiple reasons I dislike foursomes and none has anything to do with religion...

1) I keep my stuff on the passenger seat and it's a nuisance to move everything to the trunk.

2) Reduced sideways visibility due to the near guarantee that the largest and often most obese pax will be the one who sits up front.

3) Foursomes are often very loud (especially when drunk) due in no small part to crosstalk between the front pax and the rear pax

4) Foursomes are notorious for not tipping

5) It's a matter of principle to me not to allow piece of shit exploitive Uber to turn my car into clown car. No freaking way do I want to give both Uber and the pax a four-for-the-price-of-one discount while being paid 1965 taxi rates. **** that.

Unless there's a decent surge I usually refuse service to foursomes. I used to reluctantly pick them up but not anymore. Stick it up your ass Dara.
Then you shouldn’t be an uber driver I carry 6 regularly including one in the front get over yourself your providing a service for pay if you don’t like it don’t do it

Yet another case of cutting off your nose to spite your face. It has never been my experience that foursomes are “notorious for not tipping”. On a percentage basis, I get the same tips from max-capacity rides as I do from any other. So, maybe try this: Put your “stuff” in a duffel bag or backpack, and keep it in the trunk or rear cargo area of your vehicle. The next time you get a four-passenger ride, greet them cordially instead of giving them attitude and making them feel like assholes for even requesting the ride in the first place. Engage them in conversation if they want to talk, keep to yourself if they don’t, treat them respectfully during the course of the ride, and thank them when they get out. It’s not rocket science. It’s called being a civilized human being, and it works.
It never ceases to amaze me how many people on this site wear their bad attitudes on their sleeves, treat their passengers like crap, and then complain about all the tips they’re not getting. For better or worse, you have chosen to be a rideshare driver, and you’ve been doing it long enough to know exactly what to expect from it. If you hate the job and think it’s not worth doing, find another line of work. Why continue to make yourself and your passengers miserable?

I couldn’t agree more you get out of Uber what you put into it I make 2-300 a week in cash tips and my pax call me to do private rides off the books!

Covid is over the front seat ban is over if your are a uber x you are required to provide seating for up to 4 people and if you are an uber xl 6 people it’s that simple put your drinks in the cup holder and your pocket book should be out of site for safety reasons. If you don’t want someone in the front seat this is not the job for you

To clarify, I will move the items if extra passengers are present; otherwise, they will be seated in the rear. Since they are not my friends, I recommend they occupy the back seat. Having completed close to 30,000 rides over the course of a decade, I am well-established in the rideshare community. I kindly request that you share your concerns elsewhere.
Although I will agr

although I agree it’s annoying as hell when the want to sit up front the bottom line is they are a paying customer to a service you are offering if they want the front seat and it’s available they have every right to it and after 9 years and after 17,459 trips and maintaining a 4.9 driver rating I think I know what I am talking about

This part is very true. My least favorite part of driving an XL vehicle is seeing a group of what I call “frat bros” walk towards my vehicle, young 20 somethings that you can just tell are approaching your vehicle with an obnoxious type of energy.

They act like they’re in a contest to see who could be the most annoying, all trying to speak loudly over each other, subtly bragging about their rich dad’s boats or who is banging who or some other crap. Or they get in and one of them is missing… “Dude where’s Chad???! Where did Chad go bro? Herp derp.” So now we gotta wait for “Chad’s” dumbass that decided to walk off.

And it’s even worse when it’s a group of guys and they happen to have one or two attractive girls in the car accompanying them also, because the need for the frat bros to show off becomes even more intensified, times 50.

The worst. 😂
Oh worse than that is when you get that one person who didn’t call for the ride but has to hop in the front and think they have the right to control the radio playing 20 seconds of every song on their playlist trying to show off 🤮

One of the most bullshit lines that's ever been posted on this website.

For more than 10 years drivers have invested their time, their vehicles, and their physical well-being into these piece of shit gig companies and in return the vast majority of them have been horrendously underpaid to the tune of 20-30 cents on the dollar. It's no wonder that the turnover rate is more than 100% per year.
Opinions are like assholes everyone’s got one

People just need to understand that this is nothing but a modern day cab/taxi. Passengers don't ride in the front in a taxi and they never will. You're paying for a ride.. not to be my riding buddy lol. These days is really weird that's why I stopped doing rides altogether. Uber doesn't even pay people the right way for picking up multiple passengers. One person is the same pay as five?!?! Naw I'm good. Some cabs still ride with a whole glass barrier between them and the passengers. This is for safety reasons. The driver doesn't know you.. you don't know them. Keep your distance, get your ride and get where you're going. Covid has absolutely nothing to do with it. Six people should be calling a different service for a ride. Lol. No way I'm riding with 5-6 strangers in my car. That puts any driver in a potentially unsafe situation. Uber and riders are just doing way too much.
This is not a taxi by any means Taxis are open to ANYONE and can be flagged down on the street by ANYONE!!! We are private rideshare to members only we operate differently and under different rules we are closer to limo drivers for hire than a taxi cab

I've been driving since 2018 and I've always allowed people to sit up front. If I need to wear a mask like during Covid then I did and I insisted that they did also but no matter what I always allow people to sit up front. If you don't want people to mess with the radio or the a/c then use your mouth and tell them.
I no longer offer an aux cord and your 100% right

Pax aren't "members", even Uber doesn't try to make that claim.

Taxis are "flagged down" in urban areas only. In the suburbs most taxis are ordered in advance just like Uber.

"ANYONE" with a burner phone and burner card can order an Uber ride. In addition, Uber has proposed allowing cash in some markets.
No app no credit card no prepayment no ride name one single taxi that operates that way!

No, but maybe read my post. 5 passenger car: 5 seats= 1 driver, 3 in back, 1 in passenger seat.
the ones that bring an alcoholic drink in the car and their drop off is only 8 minutes away. Can they not refrain from drinking until they arrive? Pffft!
Not to mention it violates open container laws and they usually leave their empty cans in the car making your car smell like booze and your next ride will report you for drinking and driving
