Uber really need to raise the rates. It's really the only way that these long distance pickups makes sense. If a driver sees that he can make money doing a trip then he or she will do it. It's that simple.

Here in Minneapolis we either get 1 ping every hour and half when it is slow or we have to skip 10 pings that are too far away to accept to get one trip that is profitable. Uber really doesn't understand that driving 12 to 15 miles for a $4.00 delivery is really a dumb thing for a company to ask of it's workers.

This is the main reason I do Postmates with Uber. When Uber sends me 20 to 30 minute pings I just skip them and do a Postmates trip. It really do not care that Uber is destroying itself. I'm going to do what I can do to make money with the time I can work.
