The posters who criticize topics such as this one as being "old news", or "what else is new", or "this topic has been posted a zillion times" don't seem to realize or maybe don't care that this website gets new visitors 24/7.
Some of the new visitors know little to nothing about what's going on in the rideshare business, and thus aren't gonna look up the topic of uber's outrageous cuts in the search engine. And that's assuming the visitor know how to use a search engine, and that the search engine works properly (which they sometimes don't). Some people are too lazy or whatever to use search engines.
Also, there's a tendency with lots of people (including some of the critics) to only scan the first page of topics on a website like this.
Some visitors may be from the media or govt, such as the recent poster who works for the DC govt.
If frequently repeating important topics such as this helps get the message out to the govt and public, then the redundancy is well worth it.
And for those who are annoyed by those threads, simply don't read them.
Did I miss where people were making such a complaint about this being old news on this topic? Or is this preemptive?
Yeah, you missed one of the previous posters who said there's nothing new with this topic.
Check out other threads on this topic and you'll see plenty of annoyed responses about it being old news.
