Cashiers Have an easy job. Just because there are rare instances of being held up in a robbery or the occasional bad customer doesn’t make it a highly skilled dangerous job. You have a knack for bending reality. Just like most cashiers job, yours will be replaced by a machine eventually.
Nothing was said about "highly skilled".
I don't go around ranking down people's jobs because it's disrespectful and their job could be more difficult than it looks. Just because a job isn't physical labor doesn't necessarily means it's easier. Mental labor can make a non-physical job difficult.
"Yours will be replaced by a machine eventually"? Unless you've quit your gig job in the past few hours it's "we" not "yours".
Youve piqued my curiosity…what jobs have you done that are easier than this one that you work or not when ever you feel like it?
Just like you did with the word "skilled" you're introducing the concept of flexible hours which is off topic.
I've had cashier jobs that were easier, I've done clerical work that was easier, I've taken inventory that was easier (but very boring and tedious), telemarketing, etc. I worked one summer as a mover in extreme heat and humidity which was without doubt the physically toughest job I've ever had but I could pretty much work when it wanted to, unlike "easy" Doordash.
I haven't done porn but porn actors say their job is a lot tougher than it looks and I can believe it.
As I said there's plenty of jobs that are easier than gig delivery.
I'll add that it's possible that someone who delivers food because he's "bored" or "wants to get out of the house" , takes his sweet time, doesn't give a shit about making money, hand selects non-challenging orders, and never drives in bad weather, has a rather easy job. But that person is truly an outlier.
If you care about making money doing food delivery you've gotta put effort into and be willing to work when weather conditions aren't ideal. Food delivery is harder than rideshare.
