Windows cracked after seeing that son of a ***** stab that one driver in the chest thru the wide open front window. I keep mine in drive with foot on brake until its safe to unlock the doors. Best defense is to drive as fast as you can away from whatever scumbag is trying to hurt you.

That's not a bad idea. Have the OP's wife drive for an hour or two, get used to the app and learn the area's traffic, and he can be the runner into the restaurant. Then turn off Eats obviously.
Don't think I'd have her drive, for insurance reasons. But, she could operate the app, and get used to how it works and follow the GPS, as well.

If anyone reported it you would get in trouble. My best guess is that the first time would get a warning, and if it happened again, possible account deactivation.

As in IC you CAN have employees with you. Note the verbage is 'friends or family'.

You *could* try it and every time a pass gets in the car explain that this is a new employee in training.

Let us know how it turns out.

I rode with my dad the whole day one time and never got a complaint from pax or Uber. Then one time I drove with a friend and he got real stupid and started asking the customer random ass questions (of course an UberX customer) and then Uber sent me message. Luckily never deactivated me and just didn't do it after that

This was back like 2+ years ago when I first started and didn't really read any of the rules behind the system. Was just like yo hey this Uber thing makes me money without punching in on a clock and that's cool.

Just order a ride, and have her accept it. She can drive you. You can add stops, change locations, or whatever...
That's a good idea. And throw some problems at her. Tell her she's taking the long route and you don't want to pay for it. Call her ten times before the ride. Pop a beer during the ride. Put your hand on her knee and say "hey baby".

Hello all, this is my first post here and Im about to go out for the day and was wondering if it would be bad to take my wife with me so I can teach her the ropes. I been doing Uber for about a month, 30 or less rides and I do HVAC full time. Summer is comeing and I'll be very busy. so my wife said she will step up and do Uber during the summer for extra income for our family. I want to show her how it works so she doesn't get frustrated like some may have gotten on there first few days. Any negatives that can come from her rideing along? I figured worst that can happen is go to pick up someone and not have enough seats but Uber hasn't put me in a position with more than 3 passengers before. Thanks for any thoughts on the subject.
A better option would be to take her on a real trip, she can book you by standing next to you. It will only cost you Ubers take. Otherwise, u risk deactivation. Note Murphys Law...Anything that can go wrong will go wrong!

This is an express trip to deactivation on Uber X.

If it's for eats I don't think it will be an issue. I do it sometimes with my wife. But take note if something happens 2nd passenger is not insured.

I have done exactly as you are hoping to do. You MUST do this at off-hours and you must be prepared to leave your wife behind if 4 people need a ride. If you drive in an area where you are uncomfortable doing that, do not do that. If you are reported to Uber for having someone else in the car, the rider can report you and you will be deactivated.

Just have her order Uber with you as driver.
