Last night I went to a party, and when it was over four of us decided to head to a nearby establishment for another drink or two and some further merriment...
So, I ordered the Uber to take us there. Robert accepted our ride request, and we headed out to meet him. I noticed, before his arrival, that his rating was 5.0. Highly unlikely, given he was has been driving for over 2 years with almost 3,000 rides completed. Not saying he wasn't a 5-star driver, but that, given what we know about many pax, a perfect rating is HIGHLY unlikely for even the absolute best if drivers.
We tipped (tip was probably more than he got for the minimum fare ride, even at shore rates, because we each chipped in and were all a bit "influenced"--maybe even double), and I gave him 5 stars. Clean car and person, nice personality, all the basics.
Anyway, I look again, out of curiousity at his driver information, and, suddenly, his rating is 4.96.
Nothing to be ashamed of by any means, to be sure... but not the perfect 5 that Uber claimed when we could still cancel before being charged a cancel fee (not that we would have for that rating!).
Drivers aren't the only ones being lied to. Uber sucks all the way around.
