Dear Uber Drivers,

Since Uber is so garbage that i cant even contact them i'm here to ask all of you, can you give me some advice on what to do with this situation? i completely understand the drivers in question are just working and its early etc, but omg "im going to stab some fools" if this keeps up.

I live in a appartement building, there are 4 different homes behind 1 shared door, there are 4 doorbells. Nearly every morning around 5:30 one of the upstairs neighbors gets picked up by some Uber driver, but like 8 out of 10 times the Uber driver for some upstairs neighbor rings MY doorbell early morning..

Like mentioned, i get that the person is working, its early, its dark, "its just a doorbell" etc, but with how often this ruins my sleep and with that my day i'm really at my limit now, obviously i don't actually intend to hurt somebody or damage their car or get police involved or anything like that, but i cant even complain about this to Uber? What do i do to make this stop?

I've already tried talking to the drivers but its a different one nearly every morning and it just keeps going, the doorbells are already clearly labeled so that cant be the issue either, so ehh, what do i do about this?

Thanks for any kind of advice!

Well it's pretty strange a Uber driver would even bother getting out of their vehicle much less ring a doorbell for anyone. If they don't show within 5-7 minutes it's a paid cancel and they just drive off.

However it's possible the customer asked for them to do that and they are being told to ring YOUR doorbell because your neighbor doesn't like you or can hear yours through the walls.

So my advice is to find the wires that goes to your bell and wire in a switch. Because most times guests call before they come so you can just flip the switch on when you need it.

Got a delivery coming, flip the switch on.

Before bedtime? Flip the switch off.

Heck you could even wire a timer in there too so it turns on during the daytime and off when your asleep.

But yes, Uber is absolutely worthless and even drivers can't contact them.
