They raised my ezpass replenish from $95.00 to $170.00..This is a lot to take out every-time i reach that mark, it.s crazy.

Mine is $0. I use a New York E-Zpass that just deducts the amount of actual tolls used from my bank account daily. Not sure if NJ E-Zpass has that option. Some NJ Uber drivers carry both tags to take maximum advantage of discounts.
Change your payment option to cash, then just make "one-time payments" using your credit card when the balance gets low. Trust me when I tell you, they will continue to take more and more out whenever they feel like it if you let them. If you change your payment method in your account to cash, then you can just pay when you decide, not when they decide.
Took my card off there a long time ago when I learned my lesson. $180 taken out was a rude awakening.

but I setup an auto pay w my checking account to automatically send $20 a week to them. so I never have to worry about taking that big hit at once. I never let my account drop below the threshold.

You can call them and ask for a one time courtesy to reset it to $25.

Mine went up to $40, because couple of errands that weekend. Of course, they always do that around the holidays or end of the summer. Just have them revise their decision, and that’s it. 3 toll crossings in 7 months?!?!
