Is UberX 1 – 3 people or is it 1 – 4 ppl? The reason I’m asking is because sometimes I’ll pick up somebody and will say his name is Jerry. Jerry might have two people with him. Does that count as UberX? Because then sometimes I get stuck with a share ride which I really don’t like doing and that person also has more than one person.
what are we supposed to do? Do we tell them? It’s too many people? Because I understand Friday night in certain cities two or three people hang out. I’ve had a UberXL with five people. And there was more than enough room. But then I’ve had UberXL where it’s five people, but they have the luggage of probably eight people. And it almost doesn’t fit. Wouldn’t that be Uber XXL? ???
Because I’m switching vehicles as of tomorrow to I believe a 2024 Hyundai Tucson, which is a smaller engine than my minivan. My minivan has the same engine as a charger. Or similar to it because it burns gas while it’s parked. I’m hoping since 90% of my trips are usually just one or two people that I’ll actually make some money driving Uber now.
Because I have a disability in my right hand and it’s almost impossible for me to find a job. Even though I apply to 15 to 20 jobs a day, nobody wants to hire a disabled veteran with a bad hand. Now if you’re reading this and you work or know of a job in Tampa or Orlando for driving like chauffeur or something, let me know or some kind of job that I can do part time. But right now I have to work about 12 hours a day seven days a week. And the last time I worked like that Was for Fema and I was making $6500 cleared a month. Just about $1700 a week. Yes that’s a real number and then some days I drive for 8 to 10 hours or whatever my app says that I’ve clocked for miles three maybe 400 miles and after I minus all my expenditures I sometimes make less than four dollars an hour. So I make $36 for 12 hours of work and I paid for gas car payment and insurance and everything else and I come out with 36 maybe $40. On a weekend I can make $1000 a weekend and only spend 300 in expenditures.
I probably went off topic. I apologize. I’m hoping that tomorrow since I’ll have a vehicle that is only about one year old that I won’t be burning as much gas. Also with my minivan, I did put 21,000 miles on it from December 6 until last Saturday. Yes, really 21,000 miles. So much so that the warranty expired by about 1000 miles so the alternator and everything else is not gonna be free anymore. I liked using that vehicle because I could get Uber XXL. $90 trip from Lakeland to the airport is nice as opposed to $35.
