Did you know that your Lyft Amp is going for $100 on Ebay? More on that later.
The last four weeks I've been keeping busy at home selling my junk. I'm fortunate to live in a home with a garage and sheds and plenty of closet space, but along with all that room comes a lot of accumulated junk. Normally I put the kids to work on a garage sale once each year, but that idea doesn't work now.
So far I've listed about $13,000 worth of my junk on Ebay and I've sold over $5,000 of stuff in 4 weeks. You can do it too, if you have a bunch of stuff laying around or you have access to grandpa's garage.
All you need to get started is:
-- an eBay account
-- a PayPal account
-- mailing envelopes, bubble wrap, and packing peanuts, which are all available at your office store.
-- priority mailing envelopes which the post office will deliver for free to your door.
What's hot?
-- unused/unopened ladies cosmetics (the poor gals can't go to their favorite stores now)
-- gaming equipment and games, even old stuff, and especially super old stuff.
-- puzzles and games for families to play at home.
-- anything collectible: baseball cards, pokemon cards, collectible plates, etal.
-- sports gear with team logos.
-- radios, home entertainment systems, blueray dvds, old vinyl lps, electronics old and new.
-- a million other things.
I mentioned the lyft amp as a teaser. They are (apparently) illegal to sell, but you can try and the worst case is Ebay will remove your listing. Some people have concluded a sale before they discover it.
I've been selling junk off and on for years on eBay. Just got more serious about cleaning house in the last month, given there is nothing else to do. I'm happy to answer questions in the comments.
