They are talking about the rego certificate that you get after you pay your rego ...often kept in the glove box afterwards

QT could give you a replacement if you don't have it.

Shit my rego was due in feb so not sure why they asking for it now.

As a self-employed partner when dealing with Uber, the ATO and various government departmentss and Insurance companies do not throw anything business related away, or keep an electronic copy.

An ATO AUDIT can be very painful without the records they require

 

I think u miss understand the rego paper work u dont need to keep as its online. Also my credit card has the purchase.

If i get audited by the ato i know im fine.

I logged into Qld TMR and took a photo of rego check which gives them all the info they need..

Vin number rego number expiry date but no good

I had a similar problem when got rid of the old rego stickers

It is an uber glitch at the moment.

 

If you don't know, or haven't done so already, there's provision to change the status of rego on your car, so you can claim GST inputs on the CTP Insurance component. Costs nothing, and can be done whether rego is private or commercial.
Another chance to claw a few more bucks back from the ATO; especially when TMR changes the required rego status & your CTP rate goes up.
