  1. I confirm that the information I have provided to Uber regarding my business' tax situation is correct. By providing this information I expressly consent for Uber, where required, to issue tax compliant invoices on behalf of my business for services provided by my business through the Uber platform.
  2. I understand and accept that by providing a VAT number, Uber will automatically treat my business as a VAT registered business.
  3. I understand and accept that Uber accepts no liability for incorrect information provided by me, including but not limited to information in relation to:
    • my VAT identification number and;
    • whether or not a small business regime applies.

Now try and hide from the Tax man

VAT is only an issue if you're turning over more than c.ÂŁ80,000 a year.

However, that page is refusing to save on my account - It keeps saying "Field input is invalid" under Postcode, even though it's perfectly valid! Anyone else having this problem?

Considering they're a technology firm, Uber's driver partner site can be quite crap sometimes...

I'm vat flat rate scheme and voluntarily registered as a sole trader for another business of mine. Uber doesn't let me charge them Vat. So what's my position? I don't submit vat returns for any of the work I do for uber b cause of this. Any (serious) and knowledgeable insights welcome!

Should I remove my VAT registration number from their system?! I tried but they didn't let me I think.

This is happening to me, did you find a solution?
Sorry for the slow reply, Celtic, I've not been frequenting the forum of late.

In answer to your question, I gave up and forgot all about it, and nothing has happened - so it's probably not worth worrying about.

Or perhaps it's struggling with your Irish postcode, but again, unless you're VAT-registered, I'd just leave it.
