Yes it's true I'm the brand ambassador for the Jacksonville area however I'm interested in getting passengers to use it I could care less if another driver signs up. This would be information on how to get passengers to use the app and no they wouldn't be paying for the pizza I would be. So if you're not already a driver don't worry you don't need to come to it

7-21¢ referrals don't begin to offset the 99¢-$2.95 fees.

But I signed up. Will use it once to connect with a rider and then will decide if I want to set up recurring rides with my calendar app.

The business model isn't sustainable. Lyft is already beginning to offer this feature for free (at least to drivers. Don't know about for pax...).

The system that Uber and Lyft are setting up is nothing more then creating a calendar reminder on your phone. It does not address weather a driver will be available at the time or allow you to see what driver you are getting in advance.

That isn't how Lyft's reservation system works at all. It's more like a delayed ping. Instead of requesting a ride for right now, based on the current pool of drivers, it allows you to reserve for a later time. As the reservation time draws near, Lyft will ping the best driver for the passenger to arrive on time. There is no incentive to the driver, not even 7 cents. But there is also no cost to the driver. The driver receives the ping as normal, but with indication that they may have to wait a bit more than the standard 5 minutes if they arrive early.

I'm in no way saying that the Lyft system is better than UZURV, but there is no creepy stalking, and there is no charge to the driver. To your point about having a calendar, even though that's not how it works, any good driver capable of networking can use the calendar on their phone and swap phone numbers with their client. For free.

I posted this in another area for exact same subject. Thought it worthwhile to share.

Tried it for couple months with poor results. Would accept request and then find out 30 minutes before scheduled pickup that I was accepted, but I could not get ready fast enough and drive there.

Now I use my own "Personal" Uber - Lyft reservation system for out lying area airport runs where I live. I charge $5 for the reservation and assurance I will be there at 3am in an area which almost always said " No Uber Available". System automatically charges $10 for no show pax. Airport runs are $17 - $22 (what I receive) from where I live and around $45 - $55 for cab called in from other areas.

My point is that there are was to increase your rideshare income without sharing it with others like UZURV. By the way, if there are usually cars available in your area, what is the advantage of UZURV? A card with your contact information will take care of your special rides.

Think my $5 reservation charge is high, then pay cab rates while I sleep in. It is time to quite giving away everything and getting nothing in return. If your situation financially is bad, spending money you do not have on gum, mints, water ect. will not make things better for you. Limo's, black car ect. are paying much higher rates for those extras. In my opinion, UZURV and the like are for those that cannot do for them selves.

I know the last comment will get reactions. Think before you jump me, why pay someone else to get less. Oh I forgot, I'm a Uber driver. Well that I am, but I will work the situation to my Financial advantage.

How'd the pizza party go?

Where'd all the cheerleaders go?

Most of them here chime in between 9pm and midnight. Then when you accept, the pax does not acknowledge till the next morning when they get up for their ride ( which is not going to be there). It runs in background even though it is off. I keep using it just in case, even though I have not yet completed a single ride with it. It was a good idea, but seems to have a long way to go here. Having much better results with my own system.

We had three on opening day. Someone grabbed the first two (like $10 incentives!). Then the driver overslept on the third one. *shrug*
