Hey I think you misunderstood. I never asked people to give their personal info. I had a question if anyone else received this offer from Uber or not. Please read the first post.

 

@Fareed Daremi - you should edit your profile here to include your location.. this makes it easier for other readers to know what market your messages are referring to. You can also add which service you drive for.

 

Umm easy way to know? E-mail your local uber office. Don't just click links.

 

My email screenshot shows the message has been sent by partnersDc@uber.com. Looks like I am the only person in this forum who got this message.
It is definitely not a fraud.
Anyway I just filled the application because I have a big student loan . It asked my name, email, and phone. The same information you gave them to send you uber sign. The only harm would be paying off my loan.

 

Requirements: Drive 100 hours a week. Complete a minimum of 1 trip per hour originating in the DC Hot Zone. Accept minimum all of requests. Cancel no more than any of accepted trips. Do not stop to eat or take a bathroom break. Send your family a post card from the road telling them you love them.

 

Uber helping you financially? Working as a "Partner" doesn't do that why would one think any other way?

 

I received the email too. But, until I see what it is they can offer, I am not uploading anything on that site.

 

I applied- I figure it can't hurt to see what they are putting on the table.

 

I find it interesting that Uber occupies itself by trying to seemingly pinch pennies from and occupy drivers more than expanding its services to customers. Im sure a study would find that upsales to drivers exceeds riders. I don't like it.

Can a parent of said scholar also get the 1%? I sometimes joke with Riders who ask if I drive full or part-time and why. I say that I drive part-time, had college almost funded for both boys until...oh...about fall of 2008, and that Uber is part of my Parent PLUS Loan Repayment Program.

Don't know if driving Fridays/Saturdays really is worth it on a consistent basis (we'll see after I do my taxes for the first time after a year of driving Uber), but I save a h*ll of a lot not going out and having fun. Cr*p, that just hit me. I save because I'm "funless"
