Mate,
I had a funny 1 today.

Pulled into the 7 eleven on Parramatta Road, filled up and got a regular $2 coffee but mistakenly used a large cup.

Attendent said I would have to pay for large coffee as cup was large even though I only put regular size coffee in it.

He said cup cost 75c which I reminded him that it was same cup material as regular 1 but he was having none of it.

Maybe, he was saving the environment. :ROFLMAO:
the 7 eleven guy got a point mate. you don't pay for the content of it, ur paying for the cup mate
the coffee is pennies on the dollar perhaps several cents or less with water in it maybe another cent for or two for the sugar but the biggest cost factor would be the cups in any size.

Go back and put an espresso shot and some milk in, to get your money’s worth for that cup!
stops giving away secrets! I sometimes just get a reg with double espresso, it fills the cup up very nicely:LOL:
2 strong for most but for someone that immune to coffees hits the spot nicely.

At least it only has one name, instead of 4 Caltex, Ampol, Woolworths, EG.
Already a BP plus member, scored 50000 FF points when they joined with Qantas a few years back. 60 odd thousand points gets you a First class ride on Emirates to NZ.
This! everytime I fill up on caltex they always say they dont accept it

The issue here is BP is always the most expensive on my area .. I only fill up with them if I'm totally lazy as it is only at the corner where I live

A lot of BP are not 24 hours either, whereas most Ampol are as they have affiliation with Woolies & you can get uber Eats groceries thru them.

Appreciate your posts but can we stick to the topic,

Please create another thread if you want to discuss the virtues of EV v ICE.

back to topic

with BP change over, still no commfrom uber on
1) how the discount is redeemed
2) is discount still based on uber pro status
3) is there a list of BP locations
Do you have a BPme app there like we do here?

We have had UberPro at Bp for years. Initially we had to show the Uber app QR code to the staff for them to scan it to apply the discount in store, but now with the BP app, you enter in your Uber referral code into it. And no longer need to walk instore and pay by app.

if you Uber tier changes from gold to platinum or whatever, it automatically changes in the Bp app.

Sub optimal polices if electric cars are cleaner energy than petrol guzzlers.

I read recently that electric cars through lithium batteries cause more damage to environment than petrol cars.

Seems bullshit to me but how do hybrids compare to electric cars environmentally wise?

Whichever is best for environment has to be tax incentivised to encourage mass participation and only then taxes can be added on imo.

One thing for sure is , climate change is happening big time now ,with record heat, rainfall, droughts etc etc, pretty much as predicted , but seems to be happening at a quicker rate.
So true, and yet so often I hear pax say it'll all be back to normal when La Nina goes. If that were true then why do we have Japanese Encephalitis as a permanent fixture here now in NSW ( a tropics limited disease)

both BP/Ampol too expensive even with discount, probably why they can give discounts as they are overcharging.
It's a 12 cent per litre discount how many budget petrol is cheaper by 12 cent . Not all petrols are the same each petrol companies have their own special additives in the petrol that make the car run better or the engine last longer

Yeah marketing BS ;)
You can buy a lot better addictives that are much more concentrated at any supercheapauto store for the cost savings too.

They all buy the same oils that come from ships from Asia and than gets offloaded and shipped off to different oil stations.

I was reading somewhere that the petrol attendance actually adds whatever addictives into the tank in the retail level if he remembers and if he works out the right ratio too.

lol I already try that the addictive are not cheap it's about $20 a bottle. I was only using the no brand name petrols only and after just over 100k I started to have engine problems. Don't know if from petrol or oil. But I had change a new engine. From on I only using the big four petrol companies. I don't take any more chances. I think you pay for what you get.

might just be the engine that dodgy

Now updated and active in the Driver App. You link your BP account to your Uber account via the link in the Driver App (can link to existing BPme accounts). Scan BP Rewards card at cashier to redeem discounts. Can choose to receive BP Points or Qantas Points for purchases.

Discounts are now 6c, 7c, 9c and 12c for each Uber Pro level (only change is Platinum is +1c).

$5 miniwash car wash with 25L+ purchase. Must be purchased in same transaction.

$2 red bulls (250ml), $1 Coolridge Water (600ml), $7 Coolridge Water (12x600ml) (limit of 2 of each product type per day).

50% off Wild Bean Cafe barista coffees. No more $1 coffees.

In Canberra at least, Costco fuel still ends up being cheaper at most Uber Pro rewards levels.

So much for our new fuel partner. I try to use the diamond discount. Our local BP refused to honour it and said they would never give that sort of discount.
Looks like not all stores are part of the deal. I went into my local BP for a coffee and although it's listed as a "participating site", the manager had no idea what I was talking about in regards to fuel discounts. Looks like teething problems, not particularly surprising perhaps 😁.
