Well as I said and now it's happened Lyft has lowered its rates not as bad as Uber however the profit for the drivers has definetly taken a dump. Yup and Lyft is using the same line of crap lower rates more rides equals more money for the driver. In reality lower rates more rides equals more ware and faster depreciation on your car higher operating expense for the driver far less money in your pocket. What a line of shit they sound just like Uber why don't they just tell the truth lower rates needs to compete with Uber quit trying to bull shit the drivers into thinking there going to make more money. Everyone just went through this with Uber. Hay Lyft wake up that line of shit had already been used everyone has figured it out lower rates equals less money to the cars. What's that old saying fool me ounce shame on you fool me twice shame on me. People they both think you drivers are a bunch of idiots and they can bull shit you a second time. Congratulations drivers on your efforts on Thursday in Ybor City it's a start but only a start all drivers need to come together nationwide not just here in Tampa that the only way people. So ounce more I'm suggestions Uber Freedom on Facebook they have been working on organizing drivers for awhile now and have driver reps in a few other country's now contacting them in an effort to make a change. Think of it now a complete Uber shut down worldwide. It can happen but they need your support and participation. The ONLY WAY TO BET UBER AND LYFT WILL BE TO ORGANIZE neither Uber or Lyft could stand up to that they would both be forced to comply or shut down. Don't let idiots like Coldrider who made his little LOL reply above get in your way there will always be slow thinkers like him to contend with people with little or no common sense or back bone to stand up for what's right. Don't let the slow of mind the ones that can't do anything more than follow because they are not capable of independent thought get in your way of standing up for yourselves. You guys work hard for your money and have to put up with a great deal of crap from a lot of your riders sure there not all a problem there are many good passengers out there also but you the drivers know exactly what I'm talking about. People I've got a total of some 50 years experience in the transportation industry yes it was in trucking I started as a driver and ended my career as VP head of operations for company I've seen been through and delt with these issues before. My advise is sound it's up to you as individuals to take charge of your future. The best answer I see out there is Uber Freedom at this point they at least have a jump on the issues at hand and are trying to make things better for the drivers. But they can't do it all they need your help and participation you owe it to yourselves to at least look them up on Facebook and see what there all about what do you have to lose NOTHING what do you have to gain Fair Rates. It's up to you as individuals do you want to fight for fair pay or do you want to be like Coldrider and except what ever bones Uber and Lyft want to throw you. Do you want to be able to replace your car when it's worn out or are you content to at best make s weeks pay at the cost of your car while you make them rich. I have nothing to gain here myself I fought for owner operators for years and helped a great many of them succeed. My only interest here is trying to help you the drivers get the fair pay you deserve. I fully expect to receive critisum from the peanut gallery out there however there unimportant. The only thing that is important is that you drivers get the fair treatment you deserve.
Call each and every Pax after accepting the ride, determine the destination , tell the passenger that you will or won't drive them based upon whether or not it's profitable , and if it's not , offer to drive them there for cash. What's the worst that can happen? You get booted from a gig that is most likely COSTING you money to retain, jeopardizing your insurance coverage and is an insult to your dignity on a daily basis. You will clue in some clueless pax before you leave. If 10k drivers did this in one day it would make CNN and Uber might have some much needed light shined on its shabby and underhanded business practices. It's a good final " f -you" to both of these asshole companies if you are making your exit.
