Unfortunately the guy still thought he was in India with his doors unlocked in a dodgy part of town "I'm in Perth". If he was in the Western suburbs Mosmon Park, Peppermint grove then he'll be sweet as cherry pie there. Regular security patrols and houses worth multi million dollars etc.

Keep ur doors locked and eat in a well lit car park that relatively busy if you are going to have a meal and be so caught up in that meal that you don't see someone approaching ur vehicle that is unlocked with a butcher knife.

Been a number of carjacking on sleeping drivers in their car on public streets/car parks as well. If you need a sleep or laydown go to the airport parking or better yet go home because ur obviously too fatigued to be driving if ur needing to sleep in the car. Just don't become the opportunity because criminals love to take you up on that free opportunity to try to make a quick buck on ur life and don't think they won't because they will. Ur life means absolutely nothing against their possible pay day.
What the carjackers do is they see if ur asleep and goes back home to fetch some tools and some buddies smashes ur window open drags you out and beats you to the inch of ur life before taking off with your car and phone to the chop shop where the car is disassembled into parts then those parts are sold off. In some cases where you are cut/stabbed or beaten you don't survive it. Just simply dead. Kumar would probably be dead too if nobody was around to stabilize him and call for an ambulance too.
