Make sure you play stupid and say you didn’t understand the terms and conditions of the refund.

if you are a full time driver your refund will get flagged in an audit because of how high the amount is.

If it were me and ridesharing wasn’t included I would contact that program to get the payment reversed before you get in trouble and get fines added onto it.

 

You might get away with it but I'd hang onto it for a while before spending it 😊.

 

It's so obvious that riders pay the toll, how could some drivers claim rebate on such expense.

As far as I know, there is no matching rego with the tag if you pass through no issues. I've swapped my tags to rentals, without linking them to a vehicle. No dramas.

Part time drivers who drive locally could sure get away with this for years undetected. Maybe I'm missing something, but this seems open to Rorts.
