This sucks....

Just venting.... tonight I pick up pax and she says... "Sounds like your tire is going flat, there's a hissing sound". So I go look and there's a metal looking thing about the size of a razor blade, cut into my tire hanging out! Damn and it's leaking fast.

So I get them to their destination and then get home, no driving late and no driving tomorrow until I get it over to the Costco Tire shop, Their only Sat appt is at 5:30 so if they get me in and out I can catch the evening stuff. That's $$250-500 gone due to not working these two days.

I was gonna work late tonight and early tomorrow so I could go to Scary Farm with my family. Nope not gonna happen cause I gotta make that cheddar now instead.

At least my tires are new (June) so Im covered ona free repair or replacement.

You don't really need an appt for tire repair at Costco unless your tire need to be replace and there is no tire in stock. Otherwise, it's first come first serve, which you can go there before they open tomorrow and make sure you are the first 3 customers. You should be out of there within an hour..

You should have kicked them out and drove straight to a tire shop. I don't know where you were but there's a bunch of tire shops on both La Cienega and La Brea /Adams area. 20 bucks and you'd be on your way to your next pax.

Also do not ever drive someone commercially knowing that you're on flat. It could get you in serious legal trouble in case of an accident.

Can your tire be fixed/patched? (usually puncture in the center can be patched; puncture near the sides, not so much)
If so, you can get it fixed for $8-$12 and under 30 minutes.

Open 7 days a week, 8am to 10pm.

There should be places like that in OC?
Also, consider buying an extra wheel and tire to keep in your garage for future emergencies.

Nobody has a full-size spare anymore?

I got a separate rim and put a real tire on it. I hate those donut spares.

30 bucks gets you a decent 3 month tire in hundreds or places in SoCal.

Have 3 Michelin Defender T+H in good condition with 5/32nd Tread. DM me if ya want one or more. Only 1 hr Gross uberx cherry picker Earnings each ?

You need to have a backup car. Or a back up full size Rim with tire.
