I turned the sound off too.

Love this new layout of Mystro. 😘

BTW $80+ an hour is about equivalent to $2.60+ a trip mile which is sustainable compensation

So you think I'll get any trips? 😆

There tweaked things a little better. 😁

If anyone wants to know the breakdown it's as follows:

.20 a vehicle mile for gas.
.10 a vehicle mile for other business expenses
.50 a vehicle mile to replace the vehicle
.50 a vehicle mile for labor.

$1.30 a trip mile up and $1.30 per mile coming back (or deadheading between trips) empty which occurs nearly every single time. So that equates to $2.60 per trip mile is needed just to break even. If one gets extremely lucky and gets a return trip, well that's just gravy. 😆

Need to come up there quite a bit there Uber, I'm not getting off my chair for anything less. 😆

Now only if everyone did what I do...

You are driving that van too so you really want xl trips. What if you had to go out somewhere and you had an x/priority that was gonna bring you back. Do you see what the trips are before it declines them? And does it relogin after the 3rd decline?

Yes going out I should take XL/XXL and then anything on the way back. However I'll take nearly anything if it pays enough. What I would have to do is toggle X on in the Uber driver app so those trips come through to Mystro on the return.

The auto rejected trips disappear so fast the ping screen doesn't even appear most of the time, I just see a flash of something and it's gone. 😆

I have the choice to see the Uber ping screen by turning off auto decline and just use auto accept of desirable trips, then the ping screen would just terminate normally in 10 seconds or so. So yes I could use this to try to get trips going back on the return by doing the choice manually.

The app does turn Uber off and back on again after so many refusals thus avoiding the log out and preferences changes that result of declining too many trips.

It's now a very well polished app than the last time I used it last year.

The simple fact of the matter is Uber won't pay sustainable compensation anyway no matter what.

Too many desperate ants.

Have you ever mentioned that mandated oversight or regulation by a non-profit entity is the best option or most effective way to receive fair compensation & treatment during a union zoom trying to gather signatures? You get muted before you can get out the last of your statement! I call that a clear indication of the organizers priority....

And too many cheap arse pax.

By the way Mystro extrapolates a partial hour trip into a full hour to calculate the per hour rate so obviously that's not a good enough metric for me to use as a filter as you can see by the low per mile rate.

I go by the per mile because each vehicle mile costs me .80 cents, $1.60 per trip mile so to make profit to live on I need $1 per trip mile for that alone, .50 cents each way. (50% deadhead rate).

Uber may pay $80 an hour for an extremely short 3 minute trip which is a waste of my time even getting dressed for. So why I had to switch to per mile rate and set a minimum pay of $15.

I should set a maximum so I don't get a trip to frigging California or something but I would like to see if one would come through or not and then cancel it.

But yeah I can see why Uber and Lyft have been howling lately.

Uber is charging $82.62 for a 45 mile trip which of course turns into a 90 mile trip with the deadhead return.

$82.62/90 is about .92 cents a vehicle mile when $1.30 per vehicle mile is needed to be sustainable.

So even if Uber (or the customer) gave me 100% of the fare I would still be losing .38 a vehicle mile or .76 cents per trip mile.

The only hope here is if the trip goes to a busy airport where there might be slim chance in hell of getting a trip going back. But usually one will have to wait all day along with hundreds of other drivers in their place in the que, making it a complete waste of time for most.

So I concluded that Uber will NEVER pay a sustainable amount of compensation to support a driver and their vehicle because if they did then that would invite competition from local taxis.

The only thing I can do is if I plan on taking a long trip somewhere I could set up Mystro for that and just wait days or even weeks until I get a good trip headed in my direction provided my schedule was extremely flexible.

Uber is not true ride-sharing and can't be if it wants to survive, it should be forced to abide by current local taxi regulations just like any other.

NYC got away with forcing Uber to become a taxi service, why not everywhere else?

What sort of special privilege is Uber getting from big governments to allow it's shady operation to function?

Spying network? Big government control over the vehicle for hire business? Anti terrorism measures?

What is really going on here?

Around here anything over 15 miles is way to low unless you get 5 dollar or over surge, They said they were dropping driver rates and they have dirt cheap rides now. But still they sneak in some crazy high prices for rider in case some idiot takes them, but the driver still gets dirt cheap pay.
