Only if you like sitting around hours on end hoping for a ping. It gets worse every week. My neighborhood is now flooded with drivers. I can't even sit at home and expect to get a ping anymore. 6 new drivers in the last month all with in a mile.

If you do Uber more, sign up for Lyft as well. Also, look at other companies in which you can use your car, like food delivery or courier. I just quit my teaching job, and I am getting started in real estate, so I need a job to keep my lights on until I get some closings under my belt. I do Uber, Lyft, and a couple other jobs

Stick with Uber, work a Saturday night a week and if you have the ability to work big nights. Part time with this gig is always the way to go.

Are you ****ing ******ed?
Driving late night on Friday and Saturday is horrible. You have to deal with the worst of humanity and make $15 an hour before expenses. People like you drive me crazy, have you even ever sat down and counted your miles, expenses and hourly take?

Yeah, the money gets deposited into my account and I spend it how it needs to be spent. Cars are meant to be driven, plain and simple. If you have no payments, a car that you can straight up beat the hell out of, to walk into a car dealership and they will give you what you need to get you in a new vehicle you have zero care in the damn world.

Just another meat puppet that knows about making money but nothing about profit.

Explain to me how I continue to loose money? Surges don't exist like they used to, idea has always been keep your dollar amount as close to your total miles driven, mission gets accomplished every night.
Right (with sarcasm). When net pay is $.64 per mile and you admit that surge is rare....just exactly how do you net a buck a mile. Cancellation fees and tips...I don't think so. And don't forget you gotta make up a lot because the .64 doesn't include all the empty miles to pick up pax or move to a better spot.

Put yourself in a spot to get your ETAs between 2-4 min away. Be in an area where minimums only take 5-7 minutes to drop. Example: customer is 2 minutes away (i.e. Right around the corner) they live 2 miles away. Round trip to get back 4 miles. 3 bucks off the fare 2 dollar tip, keeps you right where you wanna be. Hell a 1.5 surge with a 5 dollar tip, keeps adding up and then you start to get your miles back. So I may start out slow but I know how to make up my miles quicker then one waiting for a surge, and eventually people need to make their way up north again which accounts for my dead head miles going home.

Typical trip, TIA to Sarasota 60 miles, I netted $45.00 + 5.00 tip=50.00...... drive back home 60+ miles......total miles driven, 120+ miles, expenses.............
gas, 120*0.09=10.80 add to that maintenance, repairs, depreciation, at least 0.25 per mile 120*0.25=30.00
So, for 120 miles and almost 3 hours drive my net equals to 50.00-
10.80-gas
30.00- m,r,d,
For a grand total of 9.20, need I to say more?
