Nothing you can do, pax don’t care. I did charge one for rolling down the window when it was raining but they were a drunk pita group and deserved it. I stop driving most of time when it rains depending on my mood but it don’t rain here much

 

Is there anything we can do to help the backseats getting wet when it rains from pax or do pax give a *?

Your question is how to help the backseats getting wet? Well, you can spit on them, hose them off, pee on them, pour bottles water on them, etc…

 

I got some window guards from weathertech
They help w having the window open in snow too

 

What is funny is that I see more wet seats in the cab than in the Uber/Lyft car. It is no problem in the cab, as the seats are vinyl covered. I simply wipe off the seats with a towel. For whatever reason, I see the back seat's getting wet far less in the Uber/Lyft car.

One thing that I insist that all customers do is shake out that umbrella before they get into the car.

If they already are soaked, there is not much to be done. Most of them do stay under a roof until you arrive.

 

I have had complaints for wet floor mats on rainy days.

Make good photo and submit it to uber. Claim potential body fluid spill from last pax of the day and collect cleaning fee.

 

Water will not hurt those seats .
My dogs and i travel everywhere together . They go for a swim and get into the back seats dried off only a bit.
There in the car 5 hours a day with me doing deliveries . Today they went for a run in the woods after a deer soaked from all the grass. They got into the back seats . The seats look brand new still. They make these seats to last water . I am talking about cloth seats . Leather would be even better .
His pax are waiting outside. The poster must have a nice car. STOP DRIVING UBER WITH A NICE CAR ! .
Get a real piece of shit car to transport those trash loser passengers . If your really worried about rain on the s eats and you must drive a nice car doing uber and killing the car ! Put a blanket on the seat. Throw it directly into the washing machine when you get home. Fold it up . A lot of passengers have bed bugs

I used to make pax ride in the Trunk on rainy days to keep my seats dry. If you don't do that then here are 3 good solutions:

1. Dump 2 50 lb bags of kitty litter on the seat. Tell the pax they have to sit on it to absorb the water so your seats don't get wet.
2. Spread puppy wee wee training pads all around to cover the seats. Same explanation to pax as #1.
3. Put on the door child safety locks so only you can open them. Hand them a portable hair dryer that runs off the cigaret lighter plug. Tell them they must dry out the seats before exiting the car.

Actually I did do this one time. Picked up a couple from a formal Dance/Fundraiser. It was pouring rain. I got out and walked the couple to my car with my oversized Golf Umbrella. When we got to their house I did the same and walked them to their porch. It scored me a healthy cash tip and a healthy tip in the app.

Never ran into a situation where I would do it again.

I did it at a drop off.....once. 3 young very attractive girls going to the club. When we got there it had started pouring. They were pre gaming and already kinda drunk so they asked me to use my Golf umbrella to walk them to the door. They were kissing my shaved head and one was rubbing my shoulders saying PRETTY PLEASE. I did it. I felt cheap and used afterwards!
