Hey everyone,

I am new to Uber Eats bike delivery. I recently bought a coffee caddy (I think that's what it's called) to hold coffee orders and prevent the drinks from spilling. It's a pretty good one actually I got from amazon. However, someone recently reminded me that most shops like Starbucks, McDonalds, Dunkin, etc seal their orders in a bag with some sort of sticker or seal. I do remember my gf sending me some coffee through Uber Eats and the bag was sealed. So my question is did I just make a useless purchase? Should I return the caddy?
Also, if I am not allowed to open/unseal the bags and place them in the coffee holder bag, what are your tips for preventing coffee/drinks from being spilled in a sealed Starbucks bag, for example?

Thanks in advance my delivery community! Glad to be a part of it!

thanks for the reply. I wasn't aware that Starbucks and McDonalds provide a caddy. Now the question is, is it a good enough caddy to prevent drinks from spilling over
Good to know they provide it. Last thing I need is a spilt drink, angry customer and no tip lol

Starbucks and McDonalds are both really good at packaging orders. In addition to decently-fitted bags, Starbucks puts an anti-spill sticker on their lids. Just keep the bags upright and all will be well. Alltell’s advice is good. I go with a towel rather than a blanket. It makes a nice spacer to make sure things fit snugly and it makes a good leveler. It will also make galactic hitchhikers happy.

I'll make sure to grab a towel next time I go out to deliver. Thanks so much. It makes me feel better to take orders from both those places.

no the caddy will definitely help you when you get drinks from restaurants that aren't in a cardboard caddie and paper bag or however they decide to passage it. I have a hook on my backpack strap that sita like on my chest area. Usually they are handled paper bags so I hook the handles on my back package strap hook and let it dangle with gravity. it stays level and i don't get a spill.
