I am a pro. I could teach many here many tricks of trade as 20 yrs city driver.
But I will fade away
.........which is why you should not do the last, but you should stick around here. As are you, I am a pro. We, the veterans, are the guys who know this business. To be sure, there are some new things to learn for the TNC business, but, as another poster here who is involved in the cab business has told more than one elitist TNC driver who tried to tango with him, __________
ain't nothin' but no underinsured/discounted gypsy cab driver. We know the basics plus a little more.
They should actually interview prospective drivers to weed out the non English speakers. Put them on Uber Espanol only where offered.
Lower the X rates enough and the good drivers will quit.
?Ora hay Uber Espanol? It does make sense. I am surprised that it has not appeared here, yet.
What is Uber supposed to do with the Amharic, Tigranya or French speakers? Put them on Uber Espanol? Los clientes alla se lamentan que aquellos choferes no hablan espanol. ..............or does Uber not care?
That is happening. In fact, more than a few of the suburban drivers who handed in their rental cabs for UberX have gone crawling back to their former companies after the last two rounds of pay cuts. It is what keeps my driving UberX at a level that is sufficient only to stay in the game. I am making an exception for the week between Christmas and New Year's, as this is the worst week for the taxi business. I am figuring that substandard pay is better than no pay. So far, my theory has proved correct. I will drive the taxi to-day and to-morrow, though.
