There was very little traffic on the way back, but it did take me an hour and half to get back to my staging area. I also had NJ Turnpike tolls on the way back..

I will keep everyone posted and hopefully uber does the right thing

In the past when I had problems getting my tolls paid, I went to my E-Z Pass (NY) account and ran a report on just that days tolls, downloaded it as a pdf and attached it to an email to the "help" department of Uber. Usually pretty easy when they are presented with the cold hard facts. Nad yes, you should get paid for your return tolls, as you cannot pick up pax in NY.

Only an imbecile would be taking a ride from New Jersey into Brooklyn or Queens at these rates.

I'm sorry to be so harsh but the truth is the truth.
Unlike other drivers who are completely oblivious drivers that come here know what the deal is. So if you are making an informed choice to drive from New Jersey to Brooklyn or Queens at $0.85 a mile gross you are even more ******ed then the driver who is oblivious.

You could tell the pax that you need $20 cash to do this ride because of the tolls. They can either give you the cash and take ride or decline.
