Just recently got back in the seat after almost a year away. Just want some extra money for a vacation I am taking this summer. My Question is, Is anyone using this Para App? If so, what features are you using? How can I utilize it to make more money? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Can’t imagine driving without Para after getting used to it. Here’s how I’ve been using it:

Figure out the lowest dollar per mile you’ll accept. Out in the sticks where everything is far that might be $0.75 /mile & I’ll increase it when it’s busier. That will filter out requests from far away because they’ll be less than your minimum. Definitely be higher in the city.

Lyft sent me some really good promos so I set Para to screen for shorter rides: max 3 miles to pickup & 5 miles to drop off. Let me do 4 rides per hour rather than 2-3 & get to the 30 rides to get the bonuses. I generally screen out very long rides over 25 miles causethey involve significant deadhead miles & the payout for long trips is garbage now. Only exception is if I’m specifically looking to get down to the city, I’ll take that off.

Other than that I try to maximize revenue in the 10 hrs or so per week I am driving. I filter out ratings lower than 8.6. Definitely seen a correlation with down rated pax & non-tippers. I block low income areas, low income housing, Walmarts, convenience stores, again generally looking for tippers.

Gave a trash ride headed towards the city last week: $5 for 17 min with an additional unscheduled stop, no tip. ok blocking this whole 1 mile area. Conversely saw a guy getting blocked, checked the address, it was a law office. I want to be giving lawyers rides home, so went in & tweaked the filter so that area wasn’t getting blocked.

Had like a $500 night last week only cause I was using Para to screen to get the bonuses & stay in the higher $ areas.
Thanks for the info. I will try it and see how it goes.
