Used the driver app today to do a trip, the first one since November of last year.

Still a glitchy piece of crap of an app.

Okay I didn't start the trip so when I ended it, it actually started it which I said yes start trip at pickup point and then tried ending it and it said no.

So I had to drive another 1 mile away and then it finally worked, pax likely upset I milked them a little. But only got about $1. Still tipped $5. 😊

You mean besides the recent update to the app interface, to improve things?
NO, I mean what I said. They want us to agree to new terms and conditions in order to work.

I do not have a big enough brain to remember every word of the last 25 page terms and conditions to compare it to the new terms and conditions to see what has actually changed. They are planning that rather than spending an entire night trying to make sense of it... we need to start working.

I was hoping maybe someone else knew the deal?

P2P SERVICES ONLY
CITY ADDENDUM
North Carolina
Effective as of: July 1, 2025
You entered into an agreement with Rasier, LLC (for the purposes of this addendum hereinafter
referred to as “Company”) for your use of certain software or other services. This is an addendum to
that agreement and it sets forth additional terms and conditions that are applicable in the state of
North Carolina. The purpose of this addendum is to inform you of coverages currently maintained by
Company on your behalf in the state of North Carolina as of the effective date identified above. By
clicking "I accept", you acknowledge that you have read and understand the below disclosures.
ANY TYPE OF INSURANCE COVERAGE THAT IS NOT DESCRIBED IN THIS ADDENDUM IS
NOT CURRENTLY MAINTAINED BY COMPANY ON YOUR BEHALF. Company may not currently
maintain the same auto insurance coverage on your behalf that it has in the past. This means that
any representations Company made in the past about insurance coverage it maintained on your
behalf may no longer be applicable because the insurance coverage it currently maintains may have
changed. You can confirm existing coverage maintained on your behalf below and at any time in the
Insurance Hub.
1. INSURANCE COVERAGE. Company maintains during the terms of this agreement insurance
related to your provision of passenger Transportation Services with the following coverage and
limits of liability:
a.
While logged onto the Uber application provided by Company and available to receive
User requests, but prior to being matched with a User, Company maintains primary
automobile liability insurance in the amount of $50,000 for death and bodily injury per
person, $100,000 for death and bodily injury per accident and $25,000 for property
damage. In addition, during this period, Company maintains Uninsured/Underinsured
Motorist coverage in amounts of $50,000 for death, bodily injury per person and
$100,000 for death and bodily injury per accident and $50,000 for property damage.
b. Beginning when a User request for transportation has been accepted within the Uber
application and ending when the last requesting User departs from your vehicle, a trip
is ended, or a trip is canceled, whichever is later, Company maintains primary
automobile liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 for death and bodily injury. In
addition, during this period, Company maintains Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist
coverage in amounts of $50,000 for death, bodily injury per person and $100,000 for
death and bodily injury per accident and $50,000 for property damage. If a driver holds
personal Comprehensive and Collision coverage on his/her auto policy, then Company
also maintains coverage for physical damage to the vehicle with a $2,500 deductible.
2. REQUIRED NOTICES. Company is required by law to make you aware of, and you must
acknowledge, the following statutory requirements in the state of North Carolina: You may not
have any coverage under a personal automobile insurance policy while using the transportation
network company's online enabled application or platform. If the vehicle with which you provide
transportation network company services has a lien against it, you must notify the lienholder prior
to providing transportation network company services of your intent to provide transportation
services with the vehicle. You may disclose to the lienholder all insurance coverage information
provided to you by the transportation network company. If you fail to provide the required
insurance coverage under the terms of your contract with the lienholder or show evidence to the
lienholder of the coverage provided by the transportation network company, you may violate the
terms of your contract.
3. YOUR INSURANCE. Company may at any time verify or obtain proof of insurance and other
policy information about your insurance, including from your insurance provider or other third
parties.

That was sarcasm. Besides a new agreement (which I in California did not receive notice of yet), Uber has completely screwed up the interface by moving everything around and making it harder to find settings. It's the biggest UI update I've witnessed in years.

Great. Is that the android or iphone app?

BTW... I have been having glitches with
1) after accepting a ride... esp after a previously cancelled ride... I get a popup that says rider cancelled after I am on my way to the pickp... once or twice the directions were missing... but the ride is not really cancelled. Either the directions and the name will still be there... and if not.. if you swipe up to the log off screen... the ride will still be there. Turning the app off and on will usually reset it to show the ride.
what is ****ed up is that I stopped driving to the pickup due to the cancellation... but later find out, after not getting any rides, the ride is still on and the pax are waiting to be picked up.

2) you get offered a destination mode for a long trip, but when you go to use it and set it up... it disappears never to be found.

and more. Android. I am still on ver 13 and hoping that has nothing to do with it.

I'm in NC and I didn't notice anything, I think the required notices about lienholders is new but I'm not sure. Didn't look any worse than the previous one.

That's a nasty glitch. I'm on Android. I doubt the OS version factors in at all.

I thought Rideshare Addendum was to cover your car while you drive to pick up a pax (add online but no rider). Am I reading that Uber would now provide the Rideshare Addendum so you do not need to pay extra to your personal car insurance in NC?

And if you do not have car insurance, you just need to turn on the app whenever you drive? Instant coverage?!? LOL
