My first GoGo Grandparents Ride

I got my first GGG yesterday after being here in Florida for 1 yr and 2 mos. I used to get them quite regularly up in the North Chicago Burbs. Same thing as OP, Never got a tip....and much more hassle. When I got the message saying it was a GGG ride....I almost canceled. But I just wanted to see how it compares down here with up north. The message said I would be picking up a husband/wife and one of them would have a walker. I get there, and it was just the wife....and no walker. She did not seem to have mobility issues at all. I asked her if she had a smartphone and she said yes. I was confused why she used GGG instead of just ordering a Lyft on her own. By the time I dropped her off, I noticed she had a little memory problem....because she asked me the same thing twice in about a 10 minute time frame. At the end, she takes out her wallet in an attempt to tip me (I think) but her wallet was empty. :cautious: And since she used GGG, she could not 'tip me in the app'. So, I still hate GGG. I will probably cancel next time I get one.

i am new to this service- first time
everything went WELL . loved it will use it again driver was on time, people on the phone were pleasant helpful
got uber driver.
I hope you tipped your driver! I for one am VERY hesitant to accept another GGG ride because so far, not ONE of them have tipped. And it is NOT a CHEAP service....if you can afford to pay for a Premium Service, then you can afford to TIP the PERSON who DRIVES the CAR and PAYS FOR THE EXPENSES to provide this great service for YOU.

i thought go-go whatever was on the lyft app
No, it isn't. It's separate from both Uber and Lyft. It's a service for people who either don't have computers or smart phones....or for some particular reason, can't use these devices. (Vision problems, etc) They are paying a pretty penny for this service. If I were them, I'd rather call a friend or family member who does have Uber or Lyft and just ask THEM to request the ride for them....and just reimburse them afterwards....and that way, they will still be able to tell them: "BTW, my driver was great! Please add a $xx.xx tip for them!" BTW, if no tip is added....it's a possibility your family or friend's account might get dinged. (I never give 5 stars to ANY passenger who does not tip at least $1! It is just inexcusable! We have your life in our hands. Servers who bring you food at a restaurant do NOT....but they are tipped almost 100% of the time!) Think about it.
