Other than the occasional sale, good luck with Mickey D's ever coming down in price.

I will be showing my age but I remember when they used to advertise a meal for a buck with change back. IMS it was a small burger, fries and coke for $.87. The McDoubles were ok for a while @ $1 but even those are ~1.90 now. All of McD's stuff is over priced and I don't see that changing!

I just go elsewhere. For the cost of a QP or BigMac I can get a much better and fresher Whataburger or Braum's or DQ burger for a little cheaper. Braums has a sack of burgers (5) for $6.

As an aside, Wendy's here is even more overpriced than McD's.

When a Brit Steve Easterbrook took over he made some changes to bring McDonald's upscale. They introduced artisan burgers and started doing breakfast all day which was great. Then he got canned for dating an employee. Since then it's gone downhill fast. I mean you have to order your chicken sandwich "deluxe" to even get some lettuce on it, for goodness sake.

I remember that. They were hanging fine art prints and trying to dress up the seating area. Crazy times.

In the 90s McDonald's used to have $0.29 hamburger Wednesdays, and I'd sometimes stock up and buy the max of 10 at a time (see my profile picture for proof of me in action). Lately, hamburger prices have gone way up, like $2 or more, so I haven't bought any hamburgers AT ALL. Hopefully sometime before 2042, hamburger prices will be reasonable again and when they finally drop in price, I will be buying up every hamburger I can as payback.

Karma is gonna be somewhat of a B I H. Hababababababababa

I often get 2 Mcdoubles with cheese for $3.27 including tax.
That's about $1.50 a burger.
Burger King wants 50 cents for a slice of cheese.

I can't and won't eat them any longer for health reasons, but the McDoubles are my favorite burger at McDonald's. My fav used to be the Quarter Pounder w/Cheese but the McDoubles are better.

Up until a couple years ago I had never eaten a Big Mac. And my wife said she had never had a Quarter Pounder with Cheese. We got of two each and each had one of each. We both agreed that the Quarter Pounder with Cheese was better than the Big Mac, but both of us felt the McDoubles were better than either. The bun-to-meat ratio of the Big Mac is not good and it has lettuce on it. The bun-to-meat ratio of the McDoubles is superior to either the Big Mac or the Quarter Pounder. And the McDouble is cheaper than both the Big Mac and the Quarter Pounder.

That is just conjecture without proof and evidence.

I mean I'm flattered and everything, imitating my posts from totally different threads, but your obsession with me is kinda weird. Just sayin'.

BUT... since you asked for evidence, here you go!
