Stopped in local McDonald's this morning and asked for my normal free small coffee and they asked me to show the coupon in the app. so no coupon to scan eqauls no coffee.I am using an iPhone and nowhere in the app is the coupon to scan. They said a lot of drivers are very upset about this but to me not a big deal for a $1 drink. I logged into Uber via the web and it shows the McDonald's promo and what it looks like. Perhaps it is only in the Android app.

They are hoping you'll be satisfied with the free coffee and won't help yourself to a "free" lunch on the next delivery.
I haven’t seen that deal in months. It popped into my app for a bit but when I got close to the McDonald’s it disappeared, every time. 
After a while it just up and disappeared altogether. I just assumed it was done for good. ?‍♂

Uber took it away in the app because they are relaunching it on May 31st, you will now have a timer and 5 mins to claim it
I never knew any McD perks existed.
I only know that whenever I go into my local McD to get a large coke, if I am there to pick up, they don't let me pay.

I don't drink coffee.... but normally I bring my soda cup in and ask if it's ok that I top it off.... top off meaning fill it up LOL.
They typically say yes. Actually most places don't mind spotting me a drink when I'm delivering. Unless it's a 16 year old kid at the register that is still clueless in life.

Free Coffee? Meh. I've got $1,000 worth of free soft drinks from McDs. They offer me a lg drink every time I arrive and my order isn't ready.
I've asked for coffee a couple of times when offered a soft drink first thing in the morning and they always agree.
