A similar idea but a little more approachable: My company RevStream is a mobile app-based radio station for rideshare drivers which is monetized via ads just like radio but pays drivers a share of ad revenue.

We’re Boston-based and looking for 50 beta testers to help us refine the app. We’ll guarantee $50 per month for one month for the first 50 people who join our waitlist and use it full-time while you drive for a month plus the standard cut of ad revenue we make during that month, which we expect to be $50-75 to start. We’re hoping to find people who will provide feedback which helps us make this something all or most drivers use to earn extra money.

always need a good laugh now and again ,,,,,customers get in , dont even say hello,,,,,,,,and have there head phones / ear plugs on listening to there iphone ...
only request i get for music , is if i have a car load of teenagers going out on a sat nite , and use the bluetooth to play there own music in my car speakers

i remember years ago,,,,a small start up in melbourne australia was approaching taxi depots to sell movie tickets in cabs ,with the driver getting a small commission,
a few problems with that , was most drivers had very poor english ,,,,,,and the biggest problem is the vacant / engaged ratio ,
over a working week a taxi / uber is only has customers 40% of the time ,,,,,,,so 60% vacant ,,,,,,,,,,,,,so no customers to sell tickets to

This whole thread reminds me of the wide range of lunatic ideas when Uber first started.

My favourite was the startup who thought that Uber drivers would buy an in car hamper of convenience store stuff and then sell it to riders.

I'm pretty sure it didn't last.
Yes, I remember the mobile snack bar and charger. However, I have heard of a driver selling vapes who uses a mobile Square reader on his phone to take payments.

Radio/streaming sounds like exceptionally passive income. Afterall, you can just say you had it on and get paid, right?

I must be missing something.
Thanks for the question! For you, it is meant to be very passive yes!

But there is actually a pretty complex bit of code that helps advertisers verify that their ads are being delivered to an audience, tracks song plays to pay artist royalties, and more, but we take care of all of that for you.
