I am very sure that when I accepted this trip upfront price was $38, I knew the rider would tip because I was always friendly and had good conversations with the rider.

Lyft blocked me from sending a thank you to the rider.

You have to watch your trips very closely. Lyft is preloading tips that are offered ahead of time and it distorts the pay for the ride.

That could be really good for drivers. It ceases being a tip at that point and becomes a bid.

Who the heck would do a 100 mile one way trip for $70? I reject 100 percent of long trips because the pay is insanely low.

Now if it came across on my screen as $200 and $130 of that is a tip, now I am taking it.
