I went on Uber.com and saw the statement. I met the criteria, came in under the guaranteed amount. I will go of to Miramar tomorrow and settle it. Hopefully they go back to the regular fees soon so I don't have to use my Accounting / Math skills. or maybe, I should apply at Uber as a payables clerk. It took me 10 minutes to figure out what they couldn't in 10 days. SMH

I was on line for 1.1 hours with two little rides then today I got no guarantee for that period of time, below is the email I received from UBER, they just erased half of the time I was online then send me a snarky email response I tried to post the response here but it says there's a link so it wont allow me

Huh? Guarantees for last week haven't been calculated on statements yet.

You don't see the guarantee on a per trip basis. You see it added as a misc line item on your statement.

I have some good news...4 XL trips today and 3 of 4 ordered XL because they could NOT get an Uber X...I asked all three to email Uber and ask for a refund of the difference between XL and X!!!

Thanks to a XL trip to Hermosa Beach had a great day!

I was also going to accept Lyft Plus if I got one...turned down 5 Lyft trips between 9:30 and 10:27 that were not Plus.

wORK the minimum guarantee, drive your car less burn less gas, less risk to your car and less stress in traffic. I netted around $25 bucks for like 10 hours online the other day, do the math... lol
My day was 6.5 hours so I made over $30/hr.. I will not chase the guarantees...waste of my time. That is why I will no longer sign on as Uber X

That's a great day? $169? How many miles did you rack up in your Uber XL (I'm assuming) gas guzzler? Before the rate cut I'd make that on a good weekday in uberX. In my Prius!

Get your pay statement today? How did you do with the phantom guarantee?? I missed both time periods (NOTE THEY USED WEEKLY PERIOD AND NOT DAILY LIKE MOST OF US THOUGHT) because of 88% and 87% acceptance rate!!!

Oh, believe me I agree it sucks...under old rates it would have at least $250 net...Answer, set record for miles in one day...300.4. The hourly was great thought...6.5 hours and with tips was over $30/hr. I was driving the whole time with little in between

Bill Feit I think everyone can say they did well on uber and were all getting a taste of uber's reality. Also I don't recall saying I ever did "well." I made enough to get by and pay my bills while I found a job in my trade.[/QUOTE

I didn't mean to offend you...I know you just started driving about September and this is probably your first shot of Uber reality that's all. I think you did once comment on doing well at the airport because of your Select status..at least that is what I was remembering. Again, sorry if I offended and put you on defensive..not my intent.

Bill, that is our problem! We gotta stop translating everything into hourly equivalent. I see a lot of people do that here. The way I summarize my day is by 2 things. A. The total amount I made that day. B. The miles I've driven. Back in the good ol days the ratio would have been $1.5, sometimes even $2, to 1 mile. Lately, I was happy with $1 to 1 mile. You are at 56 cents my friend! In a XL to top it off. Either way you look at it, there is no such thing as a great day anymore.

Hey BlowMyUber, if that is your measure than so be it but I don't think realistic..if this is a job for you what other job do you compare it to using $ per mile? My TIME is most valuable and I can compare the $30/hr to a minimum wage job in CA at 10.00. So can my friend who worked 64 hours and had 77 trips and still missed guarantee and his weekly take home (nice looked at as over $500 lump sum on its own) worked out to $8.16/hour...not even min wage. BTW, I look at the 300 miles as also including a $162 tax deduction on this years taxes (the idiots in Washington have lowered 2016 back to .54 from 2015 .575 rate). As further info, my gas cost per mile is .14 at current Costco price and my MPG. Believe me I have ALL the data, I keep excellent records. Last year I worked for $25/hr and worked 1388 hours...won't happen anymore. Sounds like you are more concerned about cash flow than anything...that is really why I drive BTW, I only get SS Check once per month and Uber gives me cash flow in weeks I don't get it. I already miss the amount I used to get!!!

I do congratulate you on have a measure...many do not. BTW, don't know where you are located but here in North County we have always had to drive long distance to pickups, usually get a ride south to San Diego and then have to drive home empty. Last year I drove 33,000 miles and only 15,000 was with passengers!!! Luck to you.

I didn't know it was weekly either so I got screwed M-F with a .97 trip per hour!! nailed the rest of it. took a $250 hit though. ****ing basterds
