I had an hour left to complete two trips before finishing my quest and getting an additional $40. Received a "Long Distance" ping and promptly declined. I powered off the app for a couple of minutes, turned it back on and finished my quest. Had I received the much coveted "Long Distance" ping about an hour later, I would have gladly accepted it, but I am not going to forego $40 with minimum wear and tear on my vehicle. Be careful, Uber doesn't really want to give you more than they need to.

If I ever go longer than 15 mins without a ping, I usually log off then back on. Gotta trick the system.
