Today I was not going to the pen, only been there once in the last two months. I did not want to go into LAX, but got pinged to T5 while I was on Century and mistakenly took it. Negotiated a car search at Century Blvd entry to departurs, and 20+ minutes of traffic to get to the E Sign.

Woman has 2 big suitcases going to hotel on Sepulveda.

$3.84 payout. Zero tip.

So looks like they are pinging outside the geofence to get drivers into LAX for the cruddy rides.

My mistake today.
Forget LAX as is.

The idiots at uber screwed up at JFK this past weekend. When the protesters went to JFK, the taxi's decided to stage a ONE hour strike to show support for the protesters, and to protest trumps executive order, well idiots that uber is decided they would not let it surge, but would take rides out of there, thus becoming scabs. Horrible publicity, so to fix the situation, they decided to cap the surge at most international airports, and did do a 2x incentive at lax from 3:30 until 6pm yesterday, but the damage was done. So now, instead of just going back to the normal 2.5x cap, they really aren't letting it surge. So people are finding other means out of lax, especially when there really is a shortage of drivers over there.

Lax is ruined until they institute the surge cap of 2.5 again, but who knows if they will. So I won't go over there.

Its just mind boggling isn't it? Do these people even have a brain?
A lot of drivers do not treat this as their own business and do not strategize on ways to increase profits. In my view, off the road preparation is the most important part of this gig and even still, it is hit or miss due to the numerous factors that can effect market trends.
