So the Gooding's Grocery across from Disney Springs finally closed.

It was kinda run down and was open 24 hours.

I used to pick up a lady that worked there Pre-COVID. She told me hardly anyone came in the wee hours.

There used to be one on I-Drive on now what is ICON Park. It was nice when it was open.

I would suspect either Wal-mart Grocery or Publix will snatch up the spot

This was an interesting place. The prices were sky high and since it was near Disney, it actually worked. They had one in Celebration at one time that did not work out too well. They grew the locally owned chain up to about a dozen locations in the 90's. I think they sold most of their locations to Winn Dixie in the early 2000's and kept two stores that were in the tourist areas. (This one in Crossroads and one on I-Drive).

Part of the reason they may have closed has to do with the upcoming demolition of the Crossroads Shopping Center.

I used to like Goodings bathroom. It was like you didn't have to buy anything and could go #2 if the need arises.

Also a fond memory of taking an Uber rider there to go grocery shopping : D I waited for him for like 10 to 15 mins too. Traffic was nut's that day and I just felt like chilling for a few minutes. I was not about to go to Wal-Mart. That guy was a foreigner and didn't tip well probably because of the prices at Goodings LOL.

Maybe Whole Foods...Amazon wants to be everywhere.

Crossroads is supposed to be demolished as part of exit #68 interchange.

Anyway, buying lottery at Gooding's was a real pain.
Well, I guess Sweet Tomatoes closed so it doesn't really matter.

I had no clue it was built by Disney. Obviously it was sold afterwards. The Jamba Juice there closed down already.

I will have to go to Chevy's one more time before it closes. The food there is awesome
