So I pick up an customers at LAX AIRPORT. They didn’t have the lyft app or anything but they provide me the code. They said that a company by the name of laxride. Website laxride.net send them the code. They had book online. I provide them the ride from lax to Irvine. A few day later lyft informed me that that customer was a scam and I’m not going to be paid for it. I did some research myself and that company is a big scam. If any customer informed you they’re are from laxride or jayride don’t drive them or you will not be paid. Lyft told me a few drivers are reporting the same problem.

If you take a job that comes to you by any means other than the application, it is a street hail or the equivalent thereof. Every jurisdiction in the U.S.of A. specifically prohibits TNC drivers from accepting street hails. If it does not appear on your screen, you can not accept the ride. Not only will you not get paid for it, but, if the police see you, you will receive a summons, at best. At worst, you will receive the summons, have the car impounded and be arrested.

What did it say?
What was the name of the account holder?
LAX is queued differently now from what I have heard. They have drivers you get in the car and give them a code and it connects the driver to the rider. No Ping.
The cades have to match, now don't they?
I had a rider with code, and when she got in the car, the ride started automatically.
And I still verified the name and the destination.

You need to tell lyft that they scammed Lyft and you were following the correct procedures, you don’t handle the transactions and that they do so they get the loss. You spent your time and money on the trip and tour not responsible for this, that’s why you pay a service fee and don’t charge customers directly. I would keep complaining and if it doesn’t work and the hub is near by visit them. Unless you willingly knew it was a scam which you didn’t then you got ripped off and not Lyft, which was the target. Don’t just stand quietly by and take this, make Lyft fix this
