A friend had that place cater his wedding. It's very good, but Phil's is the best BBQ I have ever had. The meat falls off the bone, and the sauce is out of this world

But that's just me. Everyone is entitled to their opinion
I don't like Phil's at all. They really don't do BBQ justice in my books. But if you haven't had the best BBQ outside the state in the true south, then Phil's would be good to you.

In the real world of BBQ.. it should not 'fall off the bone' as that means it's over cooked. It should pull away with ease.

My problem with phils is to damm much sauce.. BBQ is not about the sauce. A properly smoked piece of meat with the right rub and crusty bark only needs a side of sauce to the eaters preference.

And that is what you would get at Wood Ranch! And the Brisket is to die for! Phils doesn't have brisket as I remember.
