All good mate,

I never post screenshots or media reports on here to back up my views anyway.(and donot know how to anyway as no interest to me)

Forum members can either agree or disagree with my viewpoint which is great, but social media opinionated articles are meaningless IMO ,unless from official sources, or I can independently verify myself by my own thinking.

Yep I’ll trust the govt as far as I can throw them.
They have their interest first and if those interest align with the people then that just a bonus. But it never been for the betterment of the people or the people interests.
That maybe for other governments in the world but that not how Australia operates.

Most here in Australia get into government to line their own pockets and set themselves up in life by raiding the coffers and selling Australia out to the highest bidder. That tradition been going on pretty much since Australia was Australia. Just have to look at what they are doing. They're still importing criminals to this very day in 2024.

These criminals rort the visa system which in turn is allowed by the government and gives full blessing to the rort that been going on for decades. Everyone a winner. Except for those minority that do the same jobs.

I like Australia politicians-they leave us alone-sure they are not the smartest cookies in the world ,and vested interests run the show like everywhere else.

Both parties have committed to drastically cutting migration, especially international students rorting the system ,so let us see how it pans out.

If true to their word, there should be a shortage of independent contractors in both food delivery and ride sharing because that is where the main supply line comes from.

As said before, time will tell

I watched a little bit of US presidential debate and the 2 of them started arguing about who had the best golf swing, and who could carry a set of golf clubs rather than use a buggy.

It was comical to be honest and at least are leaders can have a sensible debate even though it is all rubbish/sound bites.

I actually think the golf debate was important, my facebook is full of Biden swinging a golf club, Ive played golf all my life and I can tell you this guy is a 20+ handicapper and a compulsive liar. He says he is a 6 handicapper, this goes to show he is not only has alzhimers he is delusional. Someone delusional should not be President.

I think Trump went easy on him, he doesn't want him replaced before the election. Michelle Obama has a good chance of winning. If you look at the bookie odds if Michelle is selected to lead the Democrats (she or he) "they" have better than 50/50 chance of winning. Biden is 4 to 1.

As mentioned in another thread (IIRC) the best way to tackle this transparently and fairly is to only allow International Students to have TFN’s not ABN’s

TFN’s allow them to work and have their maximum 20 hrs pw (haha) but the argument they can set up a business while being a student just doesn’t hold water.

All the sham student visa Indians straight to Uber Eats then after 1 year, 100hrs a week on Uber Rideshare for 3 years, then retire back home. Send the cousins. Gov should force Uber to log them off after 24hrs full log in time (not just driving passenger time). Then they won’t be able to come here and work unlimited hours. Then watch Uber scramble for drivers. What a scam.

6 months doing food delivery in Melbourne usually than RS and taxis for the next 6 to 24 months window as they train on HR/HRC and MC trucks 🚚 with their ABNS. They then do max logbook hours on trucks than come onto RS/Taxi do as much hours as he can before they pass out.

That the game.

They earn pretty decent coin driving MC trucks about when they get the opportunity to land that job.

Finally some relief on the horizon. They are now flocking to Europe.

That won’t be for long as European nations have had a gutfull of this shit, and current elections are reflecting the need for change.
