I do strive on always getting 5 stars and do though I have seen 2 1 star reviews and the only thing I can think is I started the ride and asked the customer if they had a mask and to please wear it. Both of these did not and were irate and demanded I drive them. Nope out you go. Though having accepted the ride and during surge both paid me about $5.00 and I gave each a 1 star because I choose not to get them again and to let other drivers know. Any way of getting Uber to remove the 1 star. I dont do a lot of rides so it dropped me to 4.84 stars. Not the end of the earth though why do I get a 1 star for you not having a mask or car seat in the past. Just bothers me when all 5 stars till a pax that can give a 1 just because. Any suggestions?

Uber does not adjust ratings.

If you have an issue with pax and masks, do not start the trip until you ask them about it. That will protect your ratings, but your CR will get killed. Having said that, if you have an issue with pax and masks, why are you out driving in the first place ?

The only way to fix this is to do about 1,000 trips and hope for at least 50% of the pax to rate you, because that is the normal amount who do. Only then will it completely drop off.

These things have zero impact on a full time driver, but can kill a part timer. If I got a 1* my current 4.98 would go down to 4.97.......and after about a month (500 rides) the roughly 250 new ratings will have cleaned up any other less than 5 star ratings and I'll still be 4.98 +/-...............

I was able to get Uber to remove 2 1* ratings from the same lady. One weekend I drove her and later that day I got a 1*. The following weekend I drove her again and later that day I got another 1*.

A week later she disputed both trips saying I never picked her up and of course Uber adjusted both trips to $0.00 Both trips totaled around $30.00 combined.

I used the in app messaging and told Uber that this woman lied, I have video evidence of me picking her up both times, having her confirm her name both times, and dropping her off at her destination both times. I also requested that they remove the two 1* ratings that she gave me. After several hours of not hearing anything I sent a follow up message informing Uber that I want her account information and I was filing theft of services charges against her in the State of Florida. Very shortly after that message I noticed my rating jumped back up, then I noticed the money was added back to the two trips. The trip details still showed she paid nothing, at least Uber paid me. Actually they paid me a little more on each trip than I was originally paid.

In your case I doubt you will get the 1* removed however I would push it through messaging and try. Push the PAX refused to wear mask angle hard.

With Uber you can have the rating removed by having the next 500 riders rate you 5 stars. That will push that pax rating off the list. With Lyft you can do the same thing only with the next 100 riders. (or ask them not to rate you at all because after 24 hrs those non-rated trips automatically are marked at 5 star trips).

Personally I wouldn't care one bit about ratings. The highest rated drivers receive the same rates as the lowest rated drivers from the identical areas so no benefit at all.

Only time to be concerned about ratings would be if you fall below the number the areas you drive have set up for deactivation.

Stop giving one star. Anyway you not going to see them( same rider) stop wasting time for other drivers, they you competitive. Than you see you rating is going up 🤫🤔😉

This is why I pull up to pickup with my doors locked and the window only cracked open enough to ask a few questions. They never get in the car before I decide I'll take them. If in fact we are IC, we have the right to our own rules.
3. When ride done âś… go to hell! ( if no tip ) 🤪

Make sure pax have masks on BEFORE you start the trip. Check everything before you start the trip. Identity, number of pax traveling, any kiddos needing car seats, destination, any additional stops, and, of course, masks.

If a trip gets canceled, neither driver nor pax can rate. Reports can still be made, so do so as quickly as possible, and save your dash as footage, just in case.

If passengers have an attitude before the trip starts just cancel, you will always get a negative rating no matter what you say or do after that. If they don't want to wear masks and you say something and they get an attitude then cancel, don't take their measly offer of $5, tell them too late, you have an attitude and I don't need your money, I got other riders already waiting, goodbye
