So I'm wondering what the census is on driving for Lyft vs Uber and wondering if I should stick to Lyft as I noticed better gains than Uber on that sole weekend.
Yeah it would be nice if there was a quantity fieldNo science to this. Sometimes Ord requests are neck to neck but Lyft will typically ask you to proceed to terminal at queue position #35 but Uber will let the count decrement to #0 before you leave the Ord Tnp pit. Demand more often higher for Uber at Ord, my experience.
By the way, the poll question
is "how many," but answer choices are not range or qty. I wonder why that is.
The most I've done was 55 about a month after signing up lol. Now days I avg about 20 a day. Sometimes I might do 30 or 40.The most Uber rides Ive done in a day was 31. That was the day of New Years. About 10 hours, starting at 8am. There was never a reason to turn on Lyft that day. Most drivers were still sleeping, and PAX were too hung over to drive themselves.
That's amazing and a lot still. The most I've done was 55 about a month after signing up lol. Now days I avg about 20 a day. Sometimes I might do 30 or 40.
I have to take a break every hour.Yeah but if you're anything like me, once you get your ass out there and get that first ping the adrenaline and motivation kicks-in!
No I mean a leak break. I drink coffee or pop to stay awake as I would have worked 10 hours daytime for my day job, then it's Uber and Lyft hustle.Medical reasons?
Otherwise, you're nothing like me. I get myself physically ready by eating and hitting the can, then heading out the door to DT just before afternoon rush. I won't take my first break until maybe 4-5 hours later for dinner just after the Loop Boost runs out after 7:00p. Then it's hustle-hustle as the late night Boost kicks in between 9-11, then keeping it up as long as demand is there. I'll only do emergency quickie washroom breaks if really needed. I do go offline often after rides to reposition myself back in the Loop or other hotspots, but I'm still working 'cuz I'm driving like a bat-out-of-hell to position myself for max earnings.
