Make the PAX paid for return miles? You end the trip after you get back home instead when you drop off them (with their permission)

This guy is an idiot. First off, I am from Iowa, and from a small town outside of Ames, so I know exactly the route he is talking about. Its 35 miles, that is the equivalent of lax to Glendale. And lets just say, Iowa traffic isn't as bad as LA traffic, by a long shot.

If you listen to this idiot, its a sure fire way to get deactivated.

The simple solution is to just politely refuse the trip, because more than likely, someone else will gladly accept it.

Did any one did this?

I couldnt make it past 1 minute, does he say anything useful?

Fraud if its without permission. Just mention something about how u love the fact that this is a long trip but I hope I can catch a ride going back. Then theyll say something like oh 'ya so how does that work if youre trying to go back that way?' Then I respond with a friendly guilt inspiring. 'Unfortunately i usually end up deadmiling it back (then i explain what dead miles are).' Then they are more likely to give me a good tip.
