Friend was going to get an inspection tomorrow. Was told that the GreenLight Hub on Aurora was closing down after today.

Interesting.

this is an easyone to answer they got a new general manager who decided that he didn't want to do uber inspections anymore because they make about $40 an hour off of them and they can make $100 an hour off of the bay if it was used for other things

A third option might be that Uber is getting ready to phase out inspections, and just take the partners' word for it that they meet standards?

The inspections have to have a certification stamp from a certified mechanic per Seattle law, and so that option is a red herring

This year's inspection was with Meineke and it was a total joke. Took less than 5 minutes. They never lifted the hood, they never inspected the brakes. They did it in the parking lot and didn't even bring the car into their bay.

Lyft inspections in downtown Seattle have you go off to a side street corner and meet a guy they hired who basically does the same thing without looking under the hood.

I was at the Firestone location last week and they had signs up saying that they were moving to a Sprint store on Aurora at about 183rd. They probably just don't have things updated yet.
