I figured I would give it a try. I have mixed feelings and results from my first day but overall I am fairly happy with how things turned out. The only flaw of my shift was there was 30 cars lined up when my shift was supposed to begin at 9:30 and be done at 1:30. I got to the distribution center in Eagan at 9:25 and didn't get out of there until 10:08. That was a lot of wasted time in between. For my first day I was still able to get around pretty quick and figure out that easily. It only took me two and a half hours to deliver 49 packages. I started at 9:25 and was done with my shift 12:30. I thought their app was very slick and efficient. Is there anyone else that is doing this right now? $72 for 3 hours worth of work is pretty good and I only drove a little over 40 miles in total from the Distribution to savage where all my deliveries were and everything was close together.

Just Google Amazon Flex. Pick Minneapolis and follow the steps. I was impressed how quick everything took when I signed up. There is some tutorial videos to watch but u can just skim through all of them. Any idiot can figure out how to work and app. Background check took about 3 days. If you have any other questions feel free to reach out to me.

Good to know I think I will plan on doing Amazon Flex between the hours of 9 and 1 that is when Uber is slow and no traffic on the road. I signed up for the Eagan Distribution Center as opposed to the Minneapolis choice. I figured if I picked Minneapolis I would get a bunch of Minneapolis deliveries which I do not want to do with crappy neighborhoods and tons of stop lights and stop signs. I chose Eagan because I figured I would be given a suburb where it would be quick and easy. I did Savage today and all my deliveries were super close to each other. I felt pretty good to get done with my deliveries in two-and-a-half hours being my first day but I definitely hustled out there and can read a map how long does it usually take you to finish a four-hour block?

Errr... you should visit the Flex forum here and spend some time reading. https://uberpeople.net/forums/AmazonFlex/

You don't just decide when you want to show up and work -- you're in competition with every other driver for a limited number of available blocks throughout the day; don't expect to ever get one assigned to you automatically -- if you do it's pure luck. Otherwise you're refreshing the app trying to catch an available block before someone else grabs it.

Also note tips are only available with Prime, not with Logistics (which is just box deliveries) -- there are 2 types of warehouses in each city. Pay careful attention to which type of warehouse you select when you first get accepted in the app, because you can't swap back and forth at will.

I found it's easier to use a clipboard, 5 pages of paper, each page for each of five locations in the car: front, back left, back right, trunk left, trunk right. Write down house numbers on each page. It's easier to find a package for a specific location in the car using the house numbers you write down, instead of searching the entire car for a package.

I singed up as well sometime ago just have been a bit nervous to try it. How does one know what type or location they signed up for. For some reason I thought there was only one location.

$120 for specific time, here is one of emails I received

Increased Rate On Select Block in Eagan (DMS1)

Check the Amazon Flex app for opportunities to earn an increased rate of $120 for each delivery block [estimated to take 4 hours] you complete between 3 p.m. - 11 p.m. Sunday, December 18.

To learn how to check for available blocks, check out the FAQ in the "Help" tab of the Main Menu in the Amazon Flex app.

Thank you for delivering smiles with us!

Every time I go to the Amazon Flex- get started website, it never has the TC listed on available cities. I have sporadically checked in for about a month and a half. What am I missing ? Is there a link someone can help me out with to sign up ? I submitted my info on the site, and told that if my city starts I'll be notified. I must be missing something.

to anyone who's worked with Flex in Minneapolis: did you guys have to do anything special in order to get a response?

I applied back in August and never heard a response (even though I entered my information for them to reach out to me if there were any openings).

Honestly forgot about it until now, figured I'd try applying again but it's the same outcome as before- not currently accepting positions for this location.

It'd be super dope to hear something back from them - I've delivered pizzas for years (w/ a clean driving record), however something about delivering packages for Amazon seems much less hectic with greater reward.
