Let's do a simple math:

Assume guaranteed fares on UberX is $27 each hour during peak times.

If you drive 6 peak hours you would received in gross terms $162.

Substract Uber's $32.40 and the car's rentals of $47 (for an example as rates may vary) and gas worth of $21 (hypothetically), your net earnings for the day is roughly $61.60 (multiple this by the number of days you would like to drive in a month to derive at monthly payout).

Of course this example is solely dependent on you hitting the requisite TPH and fullfill at least 80 percent of the ping requests. On quiet days such as a public holiday or during certain weeks in the month of December your take-home may suffer a dip.

My math is a realistic portrayal of real earnings in Uber that most of us could achieve if you are disciplined and suitably experienced in the job.

If anyone of you has another method of calculation, please share your thoughts with us. :)

Again, assuming the daily take-home is constant (as an average) at $61.60 and you would drive 6 days a week, your net wages at the end of the fourth week would be about $1,480.

Scale up or down on the hours to suit your financial needs accordingly.

Suffice to say, incentives and lean operating costs are crucial to profitability ...

Some cars have higher rentals and may require more petrol. as for peak periods, you will need to be at right place and time consistently to be rewarded with the incentives. Do take these into consideration... The cost do add up...

my cost per day is $75 for rental (if I want to work only 6 days a week) and petrol is about $45.

Just announced this hour:

Uber evening incentives have been axed except on Friday. Weekend incentives remain the same.

Morning incentives now apply only for two hours from 7-9 am.

With this latest move my earlier earning calculation is no longer valid. Ha ha!

if this is going to be our fulltime job, we will need to learn how to work without incentives... Soon there will be none...

1) Goalposts is wider ,players easier to score ( drivers make money hence entice many people to drive for Uber )
2) Goalposts getting smaller , players switch to Grabcar ( but at the same time G also shift goalposts at will )
3) No more goalposts , players just play aimlessly on the field until drop dead (not profitable )

Ah.. I see that the pot has reacted to the kettle's calling. Both are equally black TBH, they just treat us like machine. Exploitation to the max... :)

Enjoy our days of G/U driving before our garments throw new spanner to this game.

Can pm me your car rental company contact? $500+ monthly difference can help me get a lot of milk powder & diaper for my toddler... Lol.

Lion City Rental so far have a better deal. At the moment, you get discount for hitting certain number of trips.

Edit additions: it seems that the 100 trips $100 incentive has also been taken out.
LCR? I rather not as their reviews are crappy towards drivers. I think we as full time G/U drivers can still afford to take our business elsewhere if LCR continues with their current standard. Thanks for the heads up anyway. :)

G incentive all along is the better one
They go by per trip and U go by per hr
Simple math la, kids also know the diff
I peng long ago and never look back

But they have alot of sudden craps pop out of nowhere
Like that 60 acceptance rate jump to 85 in a very short time
Their ping is also getting lesser
I guess too many drivers now

Someone offered me a $200 daily task which is to send 50 items/ day... Not sure if it's a good offer. Any other G/ U drivers done it yet?? Care to share over here? Thanks.
