Wondering the same thing. Since we've already been doing McDonald's deliveries what else could be different?Presumably that means McDonald's DD orders will no longer need to be placed by the driver, or paid with red card?
What I would really like to see is a way to bypass the drive-thru line when the lobby is closed. There is no reason that the Uber Eats drivers should be sitting in that line to pick up an order. The order is likely ready (or close to ready) when we get there. We just need to pick it up. We definitely don't need to wait behind the cars that are placing orders and paying at the first window.McDonald's needs to install a automat in their stores for delivery , they already have the ordering kiosks which I use all the time. It'd be so much easier to just walk in with phone pick up order and deliver without any interaction with the staff.
There is a McDonald's near me which has a 3rd drive through window. Late at night when there is a long line, we just have to wait till we get to the microphone/speaker where you place the order and if this one Kool and efficient manager is there, she would tell us to pull around the other cars and come to the third window. It cuts 5-10 minutes off the waiting time. What I would really like to see is a way to bypass the drive-thru line when the lobby is closed. No legitimate reason the straw should be in the drink. Someone hands me a drink with a straw in it I'm gonna assume they sipped it and dump it on them!Just wait until McD gets complaints like this about the Dashers.
Truth be told, I have asked the manager at a restaurant to remove the straw and give me a sealed one.No legitimate reason the straw should be in the drink. Someone hands me a drink with a straw in it I'm gonna assume they sipped it and dump it on them!
I didn't click on the link and read the web site, but with regard to your comment there are some restaurants around here that give me drinks to deliver with the straws already inserted. I just deliver what they give me.No legitimate reason the straw should be in the drink. Someone hands me a drink with a straw in it I'm gonna assume they sipped it and dump it on them!
Exactly. I did, as Rickos noted, when the straw was in s drink (RR did it s lot), I'd ask them to remove it and give me a new straw. No legitimate reason the straw should be in the drink. Someone hands me a drink with a straw in it I'm gonna assume they sipped it and dump it on them!
I'm with @Rickos69 , this only happened once to me and I asked them to remove it and give me a new top and straw. It makes no sense for them to give it to you like that. I guess common sense isn't common.I didn't click on the link and read the web site, but with regard to your comment there are some restaurants around here that give me drinks to deliver with the straws already inserted. In my market it's done with smaller portions for delivery on these apps, versus what you get when you dine in.Interesting. I know a few restaurants have dropped UE in my area due to the commission fees 30% is ridiculous. I think some restaurants adjust for the commission in pricing in the app not sure on that though. I always figured they were charging McDonald's a very low fee just based on the volume alone.
