So, I got the "Double everything you earn for a week" email from Uber that I am sure everyone else in the area got, on April 3. I read the details and noticed the following line: "Your referrals - of which there must be at least 4 - must be referred and signed up no later than 4/3/16". Seriously, I have to get all 4 referrals to sign up the same day I got the email in order to qualify? This feels an awful lot like being scammed to me.
