I started UberEats 2 weeks ago works has been quiet so I was putting in 12 hours minimum. On my 15th day I have been permanently deactivated from my ubereats account because apparently someone else was doing my deliveries (substitute) there was no substitute, I contacted Ubereats through their “help” section and they advised they had sent me notifications and emails to confirm the substitute. FIRSTLY, there was no substitute and secondly, I received no notifications and I have tried proving my innocence but I just keep on getting the same answer. I feel with ubereats its as if GUILTY until proven innocent. Has this happened to anyone else and has your account ever been reactivated. Is there any hope at all??? I would also like to know as how far the HUB can help, can they reactivate accounts do they listen to the voice of the driver? Please give as much help as possible, thank you

Basically Uber is the simplest work you will ever find. If you got deactivated in two weeks one of two things happened
1. You tried to scam an algorithm and ...guess what....you got caught
2. The universe is telling you to 'choose again'
I have not scammed anything at all, as stated above I have been doing all my delieveries I even asked for proof and I got nothing. Can the hub help?

It would be nice if you could offer some help, I need help, I have done anything wrong
I'm not doubting you but what do expect for anyone to tell you aside from calling Uber or going to a shuttered GLH. Even when the GLH's were open they were pretty much useless aside from shuffling papers around or watching YouTube videos on their laptops all day. Uber is a faceless company, I was just being honest with you. They can terminate contracting with any of us for any reason without notice just as any of us can with Uber.

I totally understand but I was wondering if others have had the same experiences as me

If you really did nothing wrong that you know of.....think outside the box.
Do you have a Facebook or Twitter account and posted anything derogatory about Uber?
Every time I go online they ask for a new photo. Have you been doing that?
How could they even say that?

If you really got deactivated for nothing then it's true.....Life isn't fair.
ALWAYS have a plan B
I dont have a facebook or twitter account so nothing like that couldve happen & nooo nothing, I was not prompted to take a selfie at all hence why I think its a mistake on their end

I had my fast pay, or whatever it is called, revoked for some arbitrary reason. I never used the fast pay. I went to the GLH to nip a potential deactivation in the bud. They typed up some bullshit and forwarded it to who knows where. I stopped delivering for Eats. Three or 4 weeks later my status was updated to allow fast pay. Currently, I deliver Eats one day a month, usually a Tuesday, the slowest day of the week, just to stay active on the account. Eats is the most opaque of all the gig apps. You can be deactivated at any moment. If you are using Eats, my suggestion is to have other apps in your back pocket for the inevitable deactivation.

Pallet jacking in a warehouse is the simplest work you can find.
Trying to figure out why you were deactivated and reversing the verdict is not so simple.
Your comments are not very useful to the OP. STFU.

Because you deny deny deny. Isn't that why if you ask all the people in prison why they are there you will find fewer than 10% that just "Ope, I murdered a dude in cold blood and deserve to be here." and the rest are all "I is innocent man. I didn't do nothin'"
But if In tryna prove Im innocent and gave you the full story what more could I have done?

NOW??? False claims have ALWAYS been a thing. On UE to get deactivated that quick either AI quickly picked something up or he is very unlucky. Either way he needs to move on to the next gig.
What is AI?

It IS guilty until proven innocent. You're dealing with a computer algorithm and third-world customer service people who operate using a flow chart.

When and if the greenlight hub near you re-opens, go in and speak to a human. Until then do delivery for the other app-based services. And if you did let others work under your account, stop doing that.

Shaking my damned head. Dude. WTF.
I dont let anyone work under my account & Im thinking Greenlight Hub will be my best bet.

That was a quick deactivation. Two weeks must be a record.

People in prison have been notified numerous times of their charges and evidence of their indiscretions. Uber does not supply such information. Your analogy is flawed.

Um, no.
People know if they have committed a crime or not.
My analogy is perfect in they all claim to be innocent even when they know they are guilty.
This person is claiming they are innocent just like guilty criminals claim they are innocent.

Has nothing to do with notification of charges.

OP knows what he did.

I think Uber goes by Indian laws, remember 90% of their corporate jobs are outsourced there.

If people are doing it as a full time job, it is a hustle and grind
Full time jobs come with a time-clock, fixed salary, sick pay, paid vacations, health insurance, retirement plan, and a POS boss who physically gets in your face 8 hours a day 5 days a week.
Let me know if just one of these benefits ever find it's way to you during your UE gig.

My Uber People thanks for the support my account has been reactivated. I messaged them and stayed on top off it and kept asking how long it will take to reactivate and it has finally been reactivated! Thank you to those who were helpful and thank you tot hose who believed I had done something wrong and were criticising me because that made me more determined to prove my innocence!

I don't believe you...you protest too much.
I mean, sure, could you be innocent? I just don't believe you. Too bad, ignore me and move on...
You have no idea if he was guilty or not yet you post as if you have some inside information. This after posting the racist " "I is innocent man. I didn't do nothin' " which I guess is your attempt to impersonate an AA thug..

@JayKay0121 I'm really glad to hear it got worked out, I was going to suggest going to a Hub when they open, lots of folks here (Maryland) have been deactivated over a bogus claim and got it worked out there.

Reason #937362829364 as to why gig work cannot be relied upon as a sole-source of income.
