so I was deactivated on lyft yesterday for "to many cancellations". I only had 112 lifetime rides and I think it is total BS. I only had 5 cancellations this week and my acceptance rate is over 50%. lyft's policies in general are wayyyy to strict in my opinion. I have been driving for uber for almost 4 years and barely made it on lyft 6 months. lyft needs to change their policies because they don't see things from the drivers point of view in my opinion. for example, ill arrive to pick someone up and call them and call them on their phone and they don't pick up. on the app there is no reason to state why you cancelled the ride and if the driver does cancel the ride it still counts against them. that to me is unfair to the driver because it is not the driver's fault that the passenger doesn't come out on time. the excuse that lyft says that the rider will need to "rerequest a ride" is BS. its takes but 2 seconds to send out another request. also lyft doesn't take into account that some drivers don't want to take people into the ghetto. I live near Baltimore and I refuse to take people down to west Baltimore. rideshare drivers have been robbed and carjacked in Baltimore a lot. I really hope someone sues the crap out of lyft to relax their policies and to also reduce that $2500 deductible if you get into a wreck. that is extortion in my opinion. so that's my rant hope everyone is having a great day.
Based on what you wrote, it looks to me like you deserve to be deactivated. Had you done the same with Uber he would be deactivated there also.
